    Hello @rainbow1112

If your computer has no other issues, and the version of Malwarebytes Browser Guard (MBG) has been updated to v2.3.15, which has added an option to reset Malwarebytes Browser Guard and clear the cache:
    1. Open the MBG GUI -> select the stack of 3 dots icon -> select Support -> select Factory Reset -> select Yes.
    2. Check to see if your slow dialog box issue remains. If yes, continue to step 3. If no, please reply/update this thread.
    3. Please open your own topic within the appropriate Malwarebytes sub-forum after drilling down to your appropriate browser at:
    https://forums.malwarebytes.com/forum/252-malwarebytes-browser-guard/

I actually had the same problem few days ago , but I didn't recognise it's MBG's issue .
just saw your post here and I retry again , the issue seems no more . :)

    -------------------

By the way , my Chrome MBG extension show the version was 2.3.16 ,
should be the newest version ,
however when I push the button " check for update " ,
It's show there is an new version and the button become " updating " .
Strange thing is , after update finish , the version still show as 2.3.16 ,
    other kind bugs ?

Yes. The Malwarebytes' staffers are treating this issue as resolved & closed.

Re: Check for updates. I may have seen what you saw when I tried to verify. However, what you described does not seem to be repeatable on my system. I'm wondering if the automatic push update was partially ignored by the manual Check for updates code for just one iteration?

Re: Bugs. Two very separate issues may have been resolved with the release of v2.3.16. The official Release History may be more help when it's updated.

    Thank you.

I try it again , and I had success repeatable the issue ,
I had already update MBG extension yesterday(the extension had already show up to date) ,
now the version show it's 2.3.16 , but when I push the button " check for update " ,
the button become " updating " again .

    Here is the screenshot :
    MBG.gif

However , after Updating is done ,
the version still stay at version 2.3.16 , not sure what exactly it upgraded .

    2022-01-26_13-54-04.gif

The official release history seems can't find 2.3.16 information ?
but I think doesn't really matter , the extension working fine so far ~ :)

Thank you and all MB's staffers hard working . :thumb:

    Hello @KevinYu0504

Yes! This morning, I am able to reproduce your observation, but just only once and even then only after a MBG "Factory Reset".

With your tacit approval, I will relay your finding to the Malwarebytes' MBG program manager/staffers/devs.

    Thank you kindly.

Edit: The issue has been reported. Thank you again.

    Hello @Triple Helix

    Nice find! :thumb:

I believe you should be credited with, and report your discovery to, Malwarebytes' management. Please consider publishing your discovery in the Malwarebytes' sub-forum for those beta announcements: Malwarebytes 4.x Beta

    Thank you!

I am unable to update both beta and non-beta. Installation hangs at 19 percent. Been using product for many years and have not seen this before. Windows 11. Anyone else seeing this? I am getting two windows one 'installing'. That will hang at 5 percent and another windows informing me installation was complete, but it was not o_O

    Hello @Rainwalker

I am disappointed the system is experiencing the update issue. Rather than commence, what could be a prolonged exchange here, I strongly recommend you follow the example procedure at https://forums.malwarebytes.com/top...recent-update/?do=findComment&comment=1497475.

Then, please select the "Start new topic" button in the Malwarebytes for Windows Support Forum sub-forum and attach the mbst-grab-results.zip archive file to your first post. Attaching screenshots of the two mentioned notification windows would also help. Thank you.

What I ended up doing was re-installing MB. That fixed it. I have been with them since the beginning and have never had this problem, so at first did not even think about re-installing.
    Thanks 1PW.

    Hello @KevinYu0504

The current update to Malwarebytes Browser Guard (MBG) is version 2.3.17 (Firefox/Chrome) and the issue you identified above hopefully has been resolved to the satisfaction of all.

Thank you for raising that issue.

Beginning a few days ago I began seeing this annoying popup 'Give Malwarebytes Browser Guard permission to manage blocked website warnings for Premium'.I went into FF extensions to find Hide Notifications or something to that affect and It was not there. How do I stop that popup after I give it permission?

    Hello @KevinYu0504

I believe the MBG 2.3.17 extension has appeared in the Chrome Web Store now. Thank you for your patience with the Chrome folks.

Hello 1PW, It is Win 11, MB version 4.5.2.157, CU 1.0.1.1562 with FF 97.0. No , I did not post that on their forum, but that is the problem I am having. That fix did not work for me. I suspect the company will fix that glitch so I can wait.
    Thank you

    Hello @Rainwalker

Is the W11 system's MB4 licensed/premium or free? Thank you.
