I'm giving Sparky a live (uninstalled) trial using XFCE GUI &, so far, it's GRReat!!! It has a very friendly Package Manager, includes Timeshift, & an EASY internet connections app. Fast. Feather light. Unlike forums of other distros I have visited, Sparky's forum has a section for raw rookies to feel safe about asking possibly dumb questions. AND those questions get helpful, friendly answers. I have tried about 15 distros & so far my two favorites are MX Linux & Sparky -- both with XFCE. Tomorrow I shall install Sparky. Based on THIS review of Sparky by @Mrkvonic -- in April 2020 -- installation issues may turn me away from Sparky, especially if Sparky refuses to let me use a simple password, as it did to Mrkvonic. Hopefully, the proponents of Sparky read that review and, in the >2 years since it was written, fixed things a bit. I hope Sparky makes me smile a lot tomorrow. If it does, I'll report back. If not, I won't (silence means dissent).
After you install with a hard password, as some distros require, you can change it to an easy password by running a simple command in the terminal. passwd It will ask for current password and new password. Easy enough.
