To say I am sick to death of Covid 19 news is an understatement. Is there any non-partial, respected news outlets that provide updates to world and (relatively) local news without a focus on Covid 19?

I can't watch the news, can't read a paper, can't visit most main-stream news sites without Covid this and numbers that. I get it already! Doesn't anything else happen in the world these days??

    ;)

Pandemic news sells more newspapers, gets more TV shows......etc etc....
And you in Australia are lucky.
Your geographic location, the decisions of your government and probably right now your climate, mitigate the effects of this pandemic.

Thanks, and no offence intended, but all I hear is more blah, blah, blah. Over 2 years of it now.

Already over 2 years in which our lives have been turned upside down.

I wasted 3 hours of my time on Saturday getting my third dose of Moderna vaccine.
Otherwise the validity of my vaccine green pass (2 doses) would have expired in February.
The government of my country has made vaccination mandatory to go to work from February to everyone over 50 years old and at the same time reduced the validity of the green pass from vaccine to 6 months.
But even those who are less than 50 years old without a valid green pass cannot take/go on public transport, cinemas, hotels, bars.....etc...etc.

Geographic location doesn't matter when you're fed up with Covid news. I'm also tired of it, unfortunately you can't escape it, it's everywhere, on TV, NET, Radio, you hear people talking about it etc etc and the worst thing is that it has completely divided society on 2 camps, vaccinated and unvaccinated. No words.

In addition to what Sampei Nihira said - I don't hear blah, blah, but perhaps I'm so lucky that I use a news site that provides news in neutral and equal headlines that I can select or ignore. I choose which covid and non-covid new I read. That won't help you as it is the 'archive' page of the Dutch NOS News, but I suppose there must be other news sites that provide neutral headlines to choose from, and ignore what you don't need or don't want. Choosing an archive page, with neutral and equal headlines to choose or ignore, may help a lot, I hope you'll find such page for you. Good luck.

I hear you and am sorry. I sympathise with you and your country but I've heard more than enough covid 19 related news. I understand your world has been turned on its head. I know that far more has taken place in the last two years and I'm far more interested in hearing about that these days. So much so I'm not going to respond to your comment about the Australian government. Mistakes were made and I'll leave it at that.

It's fine if you disagree. You can't answer my question. Maybe give this thread a miss. I wish you the very best.

Talking about the current pandemic situation and ways to avoid news of it, is beyond the scope of this forum I'm afraid.

    Will close this thread now.
