I have experienced no issues since I started using Eazy Fix in the manner described. I upgraded my system to Windows 11 and will undoubtedly install Eazy Fix's forthcoming version that supports Windows 11.

Will follow advice, just above, about creating the snapshots yourself, vs automatic. Would seem to make sense.

After few months I did for first time run into a problem with the Rollback. Machine would not start except into blue screen with notation Shield error. Shield is the Rollback. Having made regular images, I was able to get the machine going again with one that was only a few days old. Then, uninstalling and reinstalling the Rollback seems to have fixed whatever the error was. Creating images as lifeboat surely wise.

To Mr. SDmod: The current Rollback has a nice feature that, with a single click and reboot, allows you to disable. Then you can take image, do trim, do windows updates, etc. safely. Then with another single click and reboot, the Rollback is back in action. Easier than having to uninstall and reinstall. Why don't you give it another try.

Yes, it's true the S.D. has options that you can save your work when rebooting and not losing it. And option also to exclude whatever files you choose. But if you do save your work, you are committed to it if later a problem develops. With the R.B. you are always given a way out.

    Thanks for the update Timmy.
I probably wont try it at the moment as I am well served by the software that I have but I might put it on an old drive sometime and give it a try.
I never had good experiences with Rollback type software. I have it stuck in my mind, that even though they seem to work for a while, they always bite you, when you least expect it.

I had a license of Rollback Rx many years ago, and true it creates and recovers snapshots of Windows within seconds making it an ideal application for people installing and uninstalling a great deal of programs, and to recover systems instantly from potential malware damage. Now if memory serves me right, I decided to stop using it for the following reasons: First and foremost in order to make an image backup of C with ordinary backup programs one had to uninstall it completely, I don't remember the reasons, and things might have changed after so many years.

The second reason is the the horrific users history here at Wilders, too many people reported unexpected glitches which resulted into re-installing Windows from scratch...And lastly I believe it was Emsisoft AV, which would flag Rollback as malicious as they were using rootkit type code (?) similar to malware practices. Emsisoft refused at the time to accept it as a FP as it was used by malware.

My final thoughts, speed is very important in computer technology but who really needs recoveries in seconds when you can have them with ultra-reliable software in minutes? I don't install new programs all the time, but even if I did, I don't think seconds and minutes would be a game changer. I can restore my system in less than 5 minutes most of the time with 100% success rate, and have a cup of coffee...

Thanks for plunking your magic twanger, Froggie. If you still are attending, do you have any idea why the EAZ Fix is so much cheaper than the Rollback Rx? Even with any sales of the Rollback, the EAZ is still less.. Are there some features the EAZ does not have? Perusing the websites does not seem to indicate.

@timmy - the products are identical... nothing missing. Sometimes the patch level of EAZ FIX might be a few behind RBrx, that's the only difference I've ever seen.

The cheapest I've ever seen RBrx was $29.95 and that was only once on some crazy sale (CyberMonday 2021, I believe). No idea how much EAZ FIX is...

It looks as though Easy Fix v12 is about to be released imminently. I have no idea what the new "feature set" will be... maybe TRIM (for SSDs) will finally work after 7-yrs . So far, only a mention of Windows 11 compatibility has been made, nothing more... and it'll cost you money to upgrade as usual.

Here is the changelog for it: http://www.eazsolution.com/releasenotes-ef.html

Interesting is that this log has been out for a while now but still no release of the actual product.

Wow... just looked at that ChangeLog! Can anyone explain to me, in plain English, exactly what the new "feature list" is in v12... anything new and useful in the product? Would love to update the "Unofishul FAQ (it's been a while)."

Most likely due to the fact that the Windows 11 release has been a bit of a basket case to date. With so much being changed (and bug fixed) by MicroSloth of late, I'd probably wait on a product release as well.

EAZ Solutions sells Eazy Fix locally and has resellers (pcUndo, RollbackRx) for the international market. It is the reason EAZ Solutions doesn't have the pricing information on their website.

I'm using Eazy Fix v12 on Win 10 and it's working well. And I'll try it on Win 11 soon and share the experience here. I would suggest waiting for Eazy Fix v12 to launch on the official website and not using it on the production system until then.

So it is EAZ solutions that are the head company for this product, i thought it was Horizon data?

Where did you get that version from, it is not available for download on their site?

Horizon DataSys is the sister company of EAZ Solutions.

Just replace 11 with 12 in the download link on the official website.

    v11 http://download.eazsolution.com/EazyFix11.zip

    v12 http://download.eazsolution.com/EazyFix12.zip

You will get a 15-day trial. v12 requires a new license.

Under the Downloads page, right-click the download tab for Eazy Fix and copy the link address.

    This is what i did.
Went to Eazy fix home site, on the top bar on that site, with, from right to left - Home - Products - Solutions - Download etc, i clicked on Download. Came to a site with Eazy fix on top and Baseline Shield, Eazy image etc below. Right clicked on the green button Download to the right for Eazy fix. Choosed open in new window and it downloaded v.11.3 with no other to option to choose.

v12 is officially not out yet, but it is available on their server. It is the reason I would suggest not using it on the production system.

To download v12, you have to copy the link address of the v11 download, paste it in the address bar, and replace 11 with 12 in the download link.

I have played with it under Windows 10. At the moment I have no desire whatsoever to build and/or run anything under Windows 11.

I will eventually check the fact basis of the "'unOfishul' FAQ against Windows 10, and when that is complete I'll check things against Windows 11 as well. If anything is different or any new usable features are discovered, I'll update the FAQ.
