Did you expand the "Other Updates" category under history and check there?

I really can't share the doomsday scenario depicted by the article, furthermore I would describe it as a clickbait title, but then again to each his own...

I have two machines with 10 installed, a desktop and a notebook: same configuration, same third part softwares, same enables services.... all identical. I'm not able to update 10 in the desktop. I tried all the ways - the list is too big to write - I spent hours in the Web and in this Forum searching any solutions, anyone works.

What build of 10 do you have installed on the machine which won't update?
    Any 3rd party rules e.g O&O shutup.

    - Windows 10 Pro - 1709 version 16299.1127. I bought the pc configured for 10 by a technical vendor, so the hardware is right.

    - 3rd party: Cis Defense+ ( Paranoid Mode ) and AppGuard Blu Ridge - Windows Defender disabled; and some minor software as 7Zip and Sumatra PDF, and Libre Office. No other software because I don't use often this pc for his update issue.

    - It's not a problem of disabled services because I have the same services configuration in the notebook where 10 updates.

I updated from 21H1 to 21H2 via "Update and Security" in the Settings app: 5 MB download, 1 min. reboot. By far the smallest and fastest Windows feature update I've experienced.

Do Windows 11 capable machines not get Windows 10 21H2?

I helped a family member who has a modern PC and an old laptop. They were both at the same Windows version/build and had the same updates installed, but only the old laptop got the 21H2 update (the modern PC got offered Windows 11, which I did not install - yet?)

For anyone running 21h2, when executing sfc /verifyonly is your scan showing that your system is clean?
    Code:
Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations.
    My test system is showing
    Code:
    c:\>ver
    Microsoft Windows [Version 10.0.19044.1387]
    c:\>sfc /verifyonly
Windows Resource Protection found integrity violations.

I got similar result on my system on version 10.0.19044.1348. Since I don't encounter any problems I will just leave it.

EDIT: after checking cbs.log it seems that there are some problems with ownership or security overlap on some directories.

No integrity violations here on build 19044.1387. i run a scan twice a year and sometimes it found issues which were subsequently corrected, although like Minimalist there were never problems related to integrity violations.

Thanks to those who replied. Strangely enough, the integrity violation disappeared after using the test system a few times. BTW, when the system was flagged with an integrity problem using SFC /VERIFYONLY, the CBS.log did not show any errors.
    Code:
    findstr /c:"[SR]" %windir%\Logs\CBS\CBS.log >"%userprofile%\Desktop\sfcdetails.txt

I'll chalk it up to the mysteries of Windows.
