@The_PrivaZer_Team - thank you for your continued work on PrivaZer.

Question - any update on the tabbed interface you mentioned would be coming?

I don't think the cleaning of appcompatcache is working or more precisely, it is cleaned but on reboot windows appears to recover or repopulate it with data from somewhere else.

I have even manually deleted the cache with these commands but it always re-appears (with old stale data) after a reboot. There is no ControlSet002

Remove-ItemProperty -Path "HKLM:\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\AppCompatCache" -Name 'AppCompatCache', 'CacheMainSdb', 'SdbTime' -Force -Verbose -ErrorAction SilentlyContinue
Remove-ItemProperty -Path "HKLM:\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\Session Manager\AppCompatCache" -Name 'AppCompatCache', 'CacheMainSdb', 'SdbTime' -Force -Verbose -ErrorAction SilentlyContinue

I use AppCompatCacheParser from ZimmermanTools to dump the after running Privazer or cleaning (an error because it is gone) and then after a reboot where it always lists 1024 exe files, some that were deleted some years ago!

Do you have any idea what is going on? Where else could Windows be retrieving this data to rebuild the AppCompatCache from?

What I can also see from the data that is re-populated is that it was enough for the exe file to exist without ever being executed for it to appear in the list.

Hi, The_PrivaZer_Team :). I've gotten a few of these Event Viewer warnings since the last most recent update to v. 4.0.31. Just to bring to your attention. I'm not unduly concerned. Windows 11 build 22000.194. Thanks!

    Hello,
    That's normal.
PrivaZer accesses the Webcache on your PC to show you what's inside and to be able to clean the deep traces of your internet activity stored in it. It's an ESENT database and the system is quiet surprised that an external program is able to access it.

Thanks alot for the quick reply! :thumb: Though I had not seen this warning before, good to know that it can be a normal reaction.

In a recent release, we improved the cleanup of event logs. So I presume, the message on the ESENT database is now more visible than it was previously.

Having an issue. PrivaZer will not open from either the Start Menu or in Program Files (x86). Uninstalled/reinstalled with same results. No Recycle Bin context menu either. Forgot if there is an option in the right click sub-menu too. Restart, same thing. This has only been happening with the latest version 4.0.34 Donors.

On reinstall, worked just fine. Asked the questions then proceeded.

    Win 10 Pro x64 (21H1).

    Thanks,
    Robert

No. But, I figured it out. Had multiple instances of PrivaZer in Task Manager. Ended all of them. Tried again and it started. Added Recycle Bin and File menu options and now it's there.

Thanks anyway and good to know that you are monitoring this thread.:thumb:

    Happy and Safe Holidays,
    Robert

Hello, I recently upgraded to windows 11 pro but now I can't seem to clean my firefox browser with Privazer (donor version). Is there something I'm doing wrong?

    *Edit: Fixed !
