    Hello;
    Is it enough to use the browser with 'Run Sandboxed' or do I have to setup it completely inside the sandboxie? I hadn't thought of running the browser in sandboxie before so I don't know if this question makes sense, sorry for that.
    Thanks.

    Yes you can select 'run sandboxed' when using any browser. You do not have to install the browser inside Sandboxie.

    If you use Sandboxie Classic then when it installs, it put an icon called 'Sandboxed Web Browser' on your desktop of your default browser all ready to run Sandboxed with a double click.

    Hello I use SBIE classic (full updated) and I found that ublock origin does not work properly with it. I mean ublock origin does not block as many ads as without SBIE (firefox).
    Is there any known issue?

    Are there the same problems with SBIE plus?

    windows 10 pro 20H2

    thank you

    Well 0.9.7 was a pre release and I'm loking if 0.9.8 is sufficiently bug free before I push it to the auto update.

    I'm back to 5.51.6 (x64 classic) as 5.53.1 (x64 classic) is causing unsolvable problems with pinned programs in the taskbar (Windows 7 x64).

    Example with Winamp:
    Start with 5.53.1 does not use the Winamp icon pinned to the taskbar after Winamp starts (has its own sandbox), but always starts a new one, so there are then unnecessarily two in the taskbar, which is too small for me anyway.

    Example Internet Explorer:
    There it is practically the other way around, because even if I start it in another sandbox or outside the sandbox, the pinned IE icon for a certain sandbox is always activated in the taskbar, although no forced program start or program folder is created for it. It is also no longer possible to pin a second icon for IE in another sandbox to the taskbar.

    With 5.51.6 the above mentioned problems do not exist.

    This is due to a change in the last build which howe ever will be rolled back in 0.9.8c so there that should work fine again

    Ok, thank you, David!
    Edit: I can confirm that with 5.53.2 the behavior of the taskbar is back to that of 5.51.6. :thumb:

    Hello David;
    I realize this is going to be a stupid question and I apologize if it has been answered before. I'm just asking to be sure. We can manually set the properties of the boxes for Supporters, right? Are we just not able to access the made templates/presets or will the non-supporters be using a restricted version of Sandboxie? I mean, are these box mods just pre-made settings or do we have to be supporters to access the features they have? Also, another thing I'm wondering is, can reporting bugs and vulnerabilities in sanboxie get us a certificate? I would like to be a supporter, but unfortunately that is not possible right now.

    A small subset of options can only be enabled when a supporter certificate is set up, you can earn one by supporting the project, you can find vulnerabilities, providing excellent bug reports (not just bug reports, i.e. reports with an analysis, or example code that pinpoints the issue already), translating to some new language, or creating/improving the documentation, and other helpful things of comparable complexity.

    Hey, does anyone else want Sandboxie plus to have automatic sandboxing of unknown files?

    To have an option in it to auto-sandbox anything that's not on a whitelist of signatures with thumbprints?

    Like comodo, but without so much recklessness with what they add to their whitelist.

    Also, sandboxie plus is working pretty good for me as of late.
