Is the new DefenderUI just as stable as older versions? I'm not sure if I want to try it, because he added so many new features.

OK thanks, then I will wait for it to mature a bit. To be honest, the older versions work just fine.

installed DefenderUI (latest beta). When opening Security Center, it replaces Virus & Threat Protection
with Account Protection. Is this correct because everything shown in Virus & Threat Protection is gone.

Glad to keep you all up to date :thumb:
    To quote post 108:
There are now two versions of DefenderUI:
DefenderUI Free1.00 stable and recommended by Dan to be used with VoodooShield Free.
DefenderUI Pro 0.95 beta that has some VoodooShield anti-exploit features buit-in and not to be used with VoodooShield.

@Gandalf_The_Grey, I have a question for you if you don’t mind. Right now I am running the free version of DefenderUI. I was tempted to try the Pro beta version. Is there anything important I should know?
    Thanks in advance :)

    Two things:
    1) the pro version is not compatible with VoodooShield.
    2) because it is not stable yet you could get some blocks, but like with VS you can easily allow them.
Dan is logging the blocks and solving them with each new version.

BTW, I haven't tried the newest version yet, but something that I noticed with the older version is that boot-time has increased by a minute or so, did anyone else also notice this, and if so has it been fixed? But cool to see that the DefenderUI website has been launched, didn't even know about this.

Well, after one week I uninstalled the Pro version. It was slowing down my PC too much, I think I will wait for a more stable version. By the way, any news from Dan?

Hmmm Thanks @Antarctica - I not experience that on my Windows 10 but have you tested the options such as Interactive. Default, etc to isolate if your slowdown is concentrated on one of those settings. I think I experienced something, not a slowdown I could notice, but a little minor quirky that I not brought to Dan's attention since I do switch to other features from its variety of them.

Hello EASTER, I am glad to hear it's working good on your side, it's a good news.:) It means there is probably a glitch on my system. I tried recommended, interactive and aggressive with no noticeable difference. But I can see a difference once I reinstall the regular free V1.0 tough...

@EASTER, by the way my setting is Windows Defender, DefenderUI and WiseVector StopX. Maybe I should try uninstalling WiseVector?

There ya go. Unfortunately for stubborn Windows we sometimes are faced with process of elimination to drill down to issues. This one seems could be another. And software lumped together often times clash in weirdest ways. Slow downs are perhaps one of the more easily noticeable one's among others.
