AV-C Real-World Protection Test Jul-Aug 2021

My top picks for paid AVs is F-Secure AntiVirus. I love it because it has no bloat or toolbars, no HTTP Scanner so it doesn't slow down my internet or VPN and is very light and I haven't gotten any FPs with it. The second one would be ESET AntVirus but I stopped using my license because I don't want anything touching or checking my HTTP/internet connection with ESET it adversely affects my internet speed and uploading to websites. I am tired of posting my complaints on the ESET forum because if they fix one site for me where I am having slow upload speeds (talking about file sharing websites for example) the next day I may come across another site with the same issue.

 

I don't agree at all with F-secure. It screwed up some of my system files and I had to restore. It happened seven times, so while that may not be your experience- it was mine.

 

I used to exclusively use Kaspersky.
Now I use Windows Defender on Windows 11 with max security settings. There is no statistical difference in terms of real world protection for most of the popular AVs nowadays.

Hi everyone, I use BTS which IMHO is light & very good protection wise, in combination with AdGuard Desktop & Voodoo-Shield Free in addition some on demand malware scanners, such as: KVRT,HitmanPro & Roguekiller with lifetime license & all real time protection turned off+Virusscanner in Edge.
