Sites that detect ad blockers

Brittanica.com does not work with adblockplus. Switching to ublock origin.

 

Block javascript for this site and it never appears.

 

Not necessary. uBO in Medium Mode or Hard Mode with noop rule for meteored.com does the job.

You're correct. I actually use Hard Mode but it turns out I was seeing a cookie notice which I hadn't bothered reading , not an anti-adblock one.
