There are 3 sites that I have found. Two of them are CNN.com and howtogeek.com. There was a third, and I can't remember it. I am using Adguard.

There is a 3rd that does not provide a list of potential ad blockers. Medievalists.net. It detects Adguard 7.6.1 which is not detectable on those other 2 sites.

Are you reporting a problem? Or an observation of The Way Things Are? Or something new??

There's an Adblock Warning Removal List filter under Annoyances: Removes anti-adblock warnings and other obtrusive messages.

I've never enabled it as there has been no reason to on my systems. Yet...

    Cheers.

None of those sites detect UBO.

I run AdGuard 7.6.1 and the AdGuard AdBlocker extension 3.5.34, and they are not detected by any of the sites named by the OP.

Yes, I have AdBlock Warning Removal List enabled and it was last updated May 3. All three sites mentioned (ghacks, cnn.com and medievalist.net) load without nuisances. However, this site slips under. How about for you? Edge Browser--tracking protection OFF.

Tried installling Fanboy's Spanish/Portuguese list and that didn't work. I mean, this was a one-time visit to this site so not a big deal. Just curious.

This one detects UBO in Chrome and Edge Plat.

Adding this filter worked for me on FF Portable with uBO:

    Code:
    @@||d3ds6z1w6yhmzj.cloudfront.net/a/ads/ad-block/ad/adblocker.js?v=v6.14.002.1$script,domain=www.ispot.tv

Well, this is very nice and it works, SouthPark. Added to my User rules even though it's only specific for that site. :thumb:

None of the sites cited above evoked adbock warnings in my Firefox profile.

So, I opened Firefox with a default profile and installed the AdGuard extension. With the AdGuard default settings, all the sites presented the warnings.

Enabling the the AdGuard Annoyances filter squelched all of them except for meteored. The Adblock Warning Removal List offered the same results.

So, the AdGuard Annoyances filter apparently is the one that does the works for me. However, once I opened Firefox with my profile, I did not get the warning for meterod.

It would take me the better part of the day to nail down which Firefox option(s) or AdGuard setting(s) or about:config tweak(s) work for me. Suffice to say, my Firefox profile is well locked down having worked under its hood going on 20 years.

Obviously, for AdGuard's filtering deficiency... Build your own rule(s) or report to AdGuard and wait on an update. (I have 15 rules, none of which have to do with adbock warnings.)

As well, if the site is that important to your webbuhnetz experience, disable that site's protection.

    Cheers.

FWIW, this is the filtering log I get:
    WildersMeteoredAdGuard.jpg
Check that against the AdGuard filter(s) you have enabled. Hope that helps.

Otherwise you might try and leverage South Park's rule in #9.

I didn't get any ad block warning with uBO. My guess is the culprit is one of the scripts neutered by uBO (denoted by the <<)

Happy to help. I've discovered that many anti-adblock scripts originate from cloudfront with seemingly random numbers.

More important are the sites adblock-tester.com and github.com.

The site https://www.synonyms.com/ is also an ad block tester site. It does not work with Adguard, it does work with Adblock.

lyrics.com is another site, and adblocker has a selection for adblock warning removal list. You may have to restart your browser for changes to take effect.

Adblock is detected on cnn.com Leaving adblock plus or ublock origin.

I might have had my hand in many areas of PC Security but strangely this Browser onslaught by those following their Pied Piper leaves a lot to be desired and yet more time, more effort, trying to sort thru a mess that never should have been allowed to fester as bad as it's become.

So I for one can really appreciate your sharing your findings as well as other members here who persistently stack back at them against the wall of those notorious unscrupulous ad assaulters defacing sites and pages worse than Google Ads.

You'll need to whitelist Brittanica.com with ADBP. ADBP is totally free.
