From what I understood, you can already buy "used products" on the major online shopping sites for a lower price. I have to to admit, it's not my thing to buy refurbished stuff, but many people don't have a problem with it.
I guess it all depends on if you trust the vendor. 1# A few years ago I bought one of my grandchildren [aged 7] a refurbished iPad2. That thing has been to hell and back, twice, and has never given a problem. 2# Bought the other one a refurbished iPhone 8 which also has been trouble free.
