i love how vx2 now owns my pc!!

hullo!

i have recently been having untold problems with my ie an other aspects of my computer.
a recurring problem found by ad-aware is something called 'vx2'

i looked at the description and found its pretty much the worst think that could have invaded my computer

could any1 shed some light on hoe i might go about ridding it

You can always download Ad-Aware Se Personal and the VX2 plugin to see if that helps getting rid of VX2.

sorry to dissapoint but i downloaded the plugin which identified the version 3 vx2....it told me to reboot then run a smart scan which i also did...twice!!

afraid the critters not ready to go yet

any other ideas

Did you execute the plugin in Safe Mode?
Just a suggestion, because I'm not an expert on this.

 

Altough running Adaware in safemode is always advisable, clicking on smartscan will not help. Click instead on Add-ons button then click on VX2 Cleaner..

 

as S_L says run it from here

help me kill vx2!!!!!!!!!

i posted before asking for help destroying vx2....unfortunatelly the ad aware plugin is not working.

when i laubnsh the add on it identifies the problem,then tells me to reboot and perform a smart scann...ths is off little effect....any advice

the link you gave me featured many of the programs i already use...but inspired me to try 'vx2 finder' again....which i think has worked! duhhhh


the only thing left now is to wait and see how long it takes till i find out its still there...haha!!
