    If any one had told you a decade ago, Microsoft would launch its own Linux distro, it would have been dismissed as mad.

    Here we are.

    It’s also worth noting what the major players are basing their systems on or parts thereof. Google chose Gentoo as the base for Chrome and despite have the whole ‘Buntu world to pick from a little known Italian distro called openmamba appears in the Microsoft credits. I’ve said many times that some of the best Linux distros are virtually unknown on the review sites and openmamba is a great example.

    openmamba doesn't support Secure Boot so I was unable to try in on my multi-boot computer with Win11.

    Downloading an ISO to try now, but at the rate it's going it's going to take hours! :ouch:

    I noticed that too. Then I found a torrent and it downloaded in 10 minutes.

    I've got 920 MB downloaded now so I might as well stick with it.

    Its a server distro so its not suitable for desktop use.
