Thanks mood. Not sure why we have to find out this way that an update is available - unless I'm doing something wrong. When I checked my Update Manager there it was hidden in the Edit. But, as with any update, I'll give it 30 days - to be sure, to be sure.
Are you using the default update servers? I noticed the Australian servers were days behind the default servers.
That did the trick! Updating now. Yeah, it was buried under the 'Edit' menu. Thanks @longshots . I wouldn't have thought to look there.
Linux Mint 20.2 is now available July 11, 2021 https://www.ghacks.net/2021/07/11/linux-mint-20-2-is-now-available/ How to upgrade to Linux Mint 20.2
I couldn't open Update Manager earlier today and just got around to checking the logs... and there are quite a few. For example, this one below showing just the 'Important' logs since last reboot. Are these anything to be concerned about?
Just upgraded a server from 19.3 to 20 to 20.2. It took 2 days to do this process including OS updates, MySQL updates and reconfiguration (getting mysqldump to continue working, turning off the column statistics feature that is not supported in the source database), Python updates, and Python script changes (now calling python3 instead of python, correcting errors that were in the script that were ignored by the previous version that crashed after the update) to get everything working. Inheriting someone else's handywork is never fun but unavoidable. Despite all of that, it is up and running fine. Now I don't have to worry about what happens when 19.3 goes out of support.
