In case you were not aware, Gizmo's Freeware and Techsupportalert.com have shutdown their website. As one of the founding editors/members, it is a sad time for me. The costs to maintain the hosting just became unsustainable. I know that the leadership of the site have been trying to find ways to sustain the site, but just have run out of ideas/options. RIP Gizmo's Freeware & Techsupportalert.com! P.S. I apologize if I posted this in the wrong sub-forum. I choose what I thought was the most appropriate and that I had access to.
Oh Man I am like so many others. Going to miss Gizmo's Freeware Site. A true staple of the Internet. Sorry to see it go.
I'm sorry--even though I've never been to the site. Hopefully, you're still around sometimes, Alexhousek.
I know that many share these same sentiments @Alexhousek in that we really appreciate all the many good YEARS of effort and hard work that you put into it for the benefit of all. Thank You
Gizmo - has changed my perception of software forever. I used to be on the wrong side of the license agreement, if you know what I mean. It all changed when I searched for a replacement for a bunch of prorammes to install on my new, Asus at that time, laptop. It was 2008. I spent hundreds of hours there, also contributing over time. I returned the favour by recommending the website to numerous of my students and more. Upon visiting the website a few days ago I noticed the inevitable end of Gizmo [the website, long live the author!!!!], which made me miserable. Peace
Today I was looking for a review of a sofrware that i wanted to download and realied that the site was down, realised that the site is off What a shame, the website will be sorely missed.
Gizmo's Freeware has a successor! "The management team decided to regroup and come up with a new concept that will keep Gizmo's legacy alive but that also marks a fresh start: Gizmo's Best." https://www.techsupportalert.com/about-gizmos-best/ ~ Removed Off Topic Remarks ~
Glad to see this. And of a fact just found a solution to a nagging issue regarding one of the system ports. https://www.techsupportalert.com/how-to-fix-an-annoying-windows-usb-problem/
