@mood -- Thanks!! I wonder if there will EVER be a ClamAV version 1.0, or will ClamAV eventually go to version 0.9999.0?

The producers of Clam have been faithfully updating & improving it for a very long time. I consider that fact to be a major advantage of Clam. It may very well survive the demise of some of the well-known commercial AVs. IMO, Clam might make a jolly good AV-partner to powerful non-AV security apps such as VoodooShield, OS Armor, etc. Comments? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ P.S. Does anyone have information as to the approximate size of Clam's user base?

Oh man. I remember so many users getting ribbed for even thinking about using Clam AV as though it would soon be nonexistent and here we are well into almost a quarter of a new century, and what do we find? Clam AV going forward like a turtle. You do recall the turtle and hare race.
Aloha @EASTER Yes, the tortoise keeps shuffling ever onward. Has a pretty hard shell, too -- not a bad AV at all, with the proper companions.
Cheers @bellgamin - Funny in a way just when you thought Clam AV couldn't possibly keep pace with these times they do it anyway in spite of rumors and everything
