I posit nothing is wrong with IT Security. Just that organizations don't spend near enough on it. I blame NATO for being unprepared.
All this "cloud" hype continues to bore if not amuse. Remote is in layman's terms no more or less external machines (in series) and/or stacked to receive/transmit from physical datacenters housing all the switching & storage of those electronics. Remember such a thing as the Intranet? Now days it seems networks are as gapped as wide open as ever or else it wouldn't be so easy for any hackers to even find, let alone monkey with those services.
