White screen, sync issues and download question with Edge

Hi just started using Sandboxie and I'm having some strange issues with Microsoft Edge browser.

Sometimes I randomly get a white screen when opening Edge. I've tried many things such as creating a new box and emptying and resetting the default box but it only seems to be resolved by restarting my PC. I did some research and some suggested to turn off hardware acceleration in Edge but that did not make any difference unfortunately.

Another issue is that the sync is not working. I tried signing in and signing out then resetting data but it just doesn't seem to want to communicate with edge servers. Maybe this feature just won't work within a sandbox environment? Although some of my research came up with some people reporting everything working with Edge so just wanted to double check.

My last question is how do you guys manage downloads? If it's safe, you just browse to the Sandbox directory and move it over to your desktop? I see when it downloads something, it merges with my desktop icons but doesn't actually get put onto my desktop so just wanted some clarification.
