Anyone used the sandbox and the Edge app guard on W11 Pro?
On W10 thoose are hopelessly flawed so i wonder if they work as originally intended, on 11.

    Spartan,

You have blocked PMs. I must have tried over ten sites before I found one that worked. Sorry, I don't have a record of the site.

    pb1,

About 10% longer for Win10. Not much in it.

I'm looking forward to having Win 11 when officially available but only if it's a free upgrade...

Well, just like the summer ice cream wagon, it looks good and we know full (or a few) of expectations unrealized as of yet. A sneek preview of sorts.

Let's get to the dispensing of the actual ice cream Microsoft and have a taste of it for ourselves.
:) Make mine a Jolly Cone please.

If anyone feels like sharing a link to download the ISO, I'll give it go on one machine. Please feel free to PM me.

    Thanks.

    Thanks Easter.

That machine was not compatible with the Win11 download and could not install. No surprise really as I haven't been able to install the last four or five versions of Window 10 without getting into a BSOD reboot loop.

That machine is destined to be a Linux machine.

Windows 11 leak hands-on: Like Windows 10 meets macOS
It's just an incomplete look at Microsoft's next OS, though.

    Krusty,

    Did you see this message....

"This PC doesn't meet the minimum system requirements to install this version of Windows"?

This is the crippled OS that Windows 10 should have been.
1- Love the fluid animations, my 60hz 4K OLED panel felt so jerky in Windows 10, with Windows 11, it feels like a 90hz panel, animations are so fluid and smooth.
2- The snappiness is just insane even with animations turned on compared to Windows 10
3- Default apps finally has a search bar enabling you to quickly find the extension you want to associate a program to:

    Very quick, indeed...

This 'leaked' version (clean install) of W11 is extremely fast. With my set up (Intel i9-9900K; DDR4 3200MHz 64GB of RAM; Samsung 970 Pro m.2 MLC SSD), it completely skips the Welcome screen... just a few seconds before the desktop pops up. I'm sure that the final release will have more 'fluff' added to it. It's also compatible with ESET and AdGuard. However, SpyShelter's Firewall (v.12.5) driver keeps failing to load.... will have to wait for an update. Also, TeraByte Unlimited Image for Linux, created a very quick back up image... without any issues.

Another prerequisite seems to be a "at least 68gb system disc". Mine is on 40 so i got that message when the installation was halted.

I can't recall if my install partition was 60 or 70 GB. After cleaning up the OS, I resized the partition to 30 GB and I now have 18 GB of Free Space in the partition. 12 GB used.
