    Not really. :D
Bad eyesight on my part. Sometimes I look at a 6 and think it's an 8.

    hi
may i ask a question about portable 64bit and 32bit version?

when i run under w10 or w7 , it does inject a driver and i guess it does remove when i close it
can i know the name of the driver ?
maybe in the new version they have changed the driver name
    thanks

You will only find the driver and registry key when DS is running. These are removed when DS ends successfully,

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\SNAPSHOD0]

What. No new updates yet?

DS continues to bat .1000 in this camp. Might even manage to use some automations scripts posted in this thread.

What? In baseball jargon that represents a batting average of (a measly) "100". Surely, DS is much better than that. :D

Yeah she's a running a clean sweep going all the way back to Windows 98 :D

Ya know? This little app may never look any different than it does right now, and has for years, for the next 100 years.

    @pvsurfer - Yes she is batting 1.000 (decimal point AFTER 1) :D

Curious to your own DS routine. Mind sharing that method? I assume manually but could be you make use of scripting capability to save time.

You assume correctly - all of my backups are performed manually and always from within the DS GUI. My data partition sees daily changes so I back it up at the end of each work day. Since there are far less changes taking place within the system partition I find weekly backups to be more than sufficient. On (or around) the 1st of each month I'll create a Full image for each partition and interim Diffs (which run pretty fast). I backup to an external HDD and maintain a 'grandfather, father, son' rotation. That's about it...

I don't get why one ends 30 the other 29.

Because they are not identical builds, one being 32-bit and the other being 64-bit. DS has done it that way ever since the introduction of 64-bit computing (and rightly so). ;)

Is this the same update as Adric posted or have there been two quick updates?
@Adric It's good to see a change log.

I gave the new version a test (1.49) and not only after restoring did I receive an "Windows did not shutdown properly" 30 seconds countdown message but Chkdsk popped up checking Windows partition (C).......It happens when creating an image of Windows whilst Windows is running (tried with --usevss and without).

    My batch file is -

    Code:
    for %%f in (C D E F G H I J K L M N O P Q R S) do if exist %%f:\Windows\System32\ set OSPARTITION=%%f:
    for %%f in (C D E F G H I J K L M N O P Q R S) do if exist %%f:\Images\ set DESTINATION=%%f:
    if exist %DESTINATION%\Images\OS-Partition(diff).sna exit
    if exist %DESTINATION%\Images\OS-Partition(full).sna goto :differential
    SNAPSHOT %OSPARTITION% %DESTINATION%\Images\OS-Partition(full).sna --usevss -R -L0 -T -W
    Shutdown -s -t 120
    exit
    :differential
    SNAPSHOT %OSPARTITION% %DESTINATION%\Images\OS-Partition(diff).sna -H%DESTINATION%\Images\OS-Partition(full).hsh --usevss -R -L0 -T -W
    Shutdown -s -t 120
    exit
