ControlD is a new DNS service by the makers of Windscribe VPN

Very interesting performance of ControlD DNS, especially for blocking ads, with Private DNS in Android smartphones.

Blocked a few legit websites and not sure why. Also would not allow download of a Macrium Reflect update. Looks like it needs more work for sure.

 

If you run a query log, you can see what is being blocked and unblock it. Nothing on *.macrium.com is being blocked, so they must use some other hostnames for this.

 

Will check that out, thanks. I had a few websites blocked as well so will do the same.
