"Tesla Makes More Money Trading Bitcoin Than Selling Cars

Tesla didn’t exactly earn its record profit from selling cars, however. The company said that it sold some of the $1.5 billion worth of bitcoin that it purchased in February, contributing $101 million to the bottom line. That is nearly a fourth of its total profit..."

"The IRS Wants Help Hacking Cryptocurrency Hardware Wallets

The IRS is looking for help to break into cryptocurrency hardware wallets, according to a document posted on the agency website in March of this year...

The law enforcement arm of the tax agency, IRS Criminal Investigation, and more specifically its Digital Forensic Unit, is now asking contractors to come up with solutions to hack into cryptowallets that could be of interest in investigations...the IRS wants researchers and contractors to come forward with solutions to hack into hardware wallets..."

If successful that will only "grab up" newbie configured security devices. You can configure your overall setup so that over 50% of the encryption security is not even on the Hardware Wallet. You simply cannot crack/hack something that is NOT there for examination. This is where the best of the best use ALL open source to control their own configurations and not simply be SHEEP with an out of the box model.

Buterin, a 27-year-old Russian-Canadian programmer, disclosed that he was inspired to travel down the road that led to Ethereum when software-developer Blizzard removed a component of his favorite spell on World of Warcraft, an online multiplayer game. 'I cried myself to sleep, and on that day I realized what horrors centralized services can bring,' Buterin wrote..."

"Once hailed as unhackable, blockchains are now getting hacked

More and more security holes are appearing in cryptocurrency and smart contract platforms, and some are fundamental to the way they were built...

In total, hackers have stolen nearly $2 billion worth of cryptocurrency since the beginning of 2017, mostly from exchanges, and that’s just what has been revealed publicly. These are not just opportunistic lone attackers, either. Sophisticated cybercrime organizations are now doing it too: analytics firm Chainalysis recently said that just two groups, both of which are apparently still active, may have stolen a combined $1 billion from exchanges...

Blockchains are particularly attractive to thieves because fraudulent transactions can’t be reversed as they often can be in the traditional financial system. Besides that, we’ve long known that just as blockchains have unique security features, they have unique vulnerabilities. Marketing slogans and headlines that called the technology “unhackable” were dead wrong..."

"Hope for Prospective GPU Buyers? Ethereum Prepares to Phase Out Mining

Ethereum plans to complete its transition to a 'Proof-of-Stake' protocol in the coming months, which is expected to end mass-mining for the cryptocurrency using GPUs...

The news was contained in a blog post from the Ethereum Foundation. For years now, the nonprofit has been working to move Ethereum away from traditional mining to what’s called a “Proof-of-Stake” protocol, which promises to streamline the cryptocurrency...

...the cryptocurrency’s coming migration to Proof-of-Stake is expected to kill off the need for powerful GPUs to maintain the Ethereum blockchain. Instead, hardware requirements should dramatically fall, enabling a regular PC to help validate the blockchain..."

Security researchers piecing together evidence from multiple attacks on cryptocurrency exchanges, attributed to a threat actor they named CryptoCore have established a strong connection to the North Korean state-sponsored group Lazarus.

"Nexus Inc. Launches World’s First Ethereum Bloackchain Network in Space to Provide Clients with Ultra-secure Transactions

KENNEDY SPACE CENTER, Fla. (Nexus Inc. PR) –Nexus Inc. (“Nexus”), a deep tech digital asset management firm...is pleased to announce the launch of the world’s first ethereum blockchain network onboard the International Space Station, with the sole objective of providing clients with ultra-secure cryptocurrency transactions against terrestrial hackers.

Executed from Nexus’s trusted ground-based interface terminal which has an uplink-downlink latency of at least 8 hours, the deceleration of the transaction speed, resulting in transmission delays in order to execute multisignature protocols, are key to defeating theft and fraud. Employing the mechanism of 2 out of 3 multisignature keys will ensure that if one authentication key is compromised, the funds transaction remains safe and unscathed...

A Falcon 9, the world’s first orbital-class reusable two-stage re-flight SpaceX rocket, will take off from Kennedy Space Centre with Nexus’s proprietary wallet hardware ISS resupply Mission-22 payload securely onboard...on Thursday 3 June 2021..."

" 'Anonymous' threatens to expose billionaire Elon Musk as 'not everything he claims to be' as revenge for his constant manipulation of Bitcoin's value with his 'cavalier' tweets
