I don't use it, but looks promising. At first I was a bit sceptical due to compression algorithms listed on page (quite slow or with poor ratio), but another page states that they introduced zstd which is good compression algo. Zstd provides decent tradeoff between compression ratio and speed which is important for archives containing tens or hundreds of gigabytes of data.
I use it. Comes in handy for specialized one time backups. I used it to back up from a jfs files system and restore to ext4.
