    Seems this is a new issue indeed.

    There is nothing bad to obey several discussions. Nevertheless, some should not rely on only one solution. Layered security!

    When I visit https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC59RdvSWe43YhueJf5EhZaQ I don't see the popup "Before you continue to YouTube Google uses cookies and data to: ..."
    Obviously this rule (still) does the thing:

    I did a test with Chrome:

    • European IP Address
    • No Cookies for Google/YouTube yet
    no pop-ups.
    Easy Mode on for Youtube.

    If I agree to the lists locally, the pop-up appears.
    You need to clean with CCleaner and then re-enable Easy Mode in UBO.

    *** Edit ***

    Strangely, after many openings, the pop-up appeared.
    I tried to block it manually, but then I disabled the rule and no pop-ups.:confused:

    *** Edit 1 ****

    YouTube drives me crazy ....:thumbd::thumbd::thumbd::thumbd:

    P.S. I use a lot more custom rules than those published by Mantra, but I don't think they affect the test result.

    This is something completely new from YouTube (seems like A/B testing), so we just have to wait till someone comes with a fix...

    In my case this also works: ad https://consent.youtube.com to the list of blocked sites in the cookie settings of your browser. E.g. MS Edge.

    upload_2021-4-1_10-24-38.png

    Next rules in uBlock Origin prevent opening the log-in popup.

    youtube.com###dialog
    youtube.com##.opened

    Test it on https://www.youtube.com

    Edit:
    When I visited that site for the third time, a popup with a lock symbol showed up.This can be prevented by the next two uBlock Origin rules:
    youtube.com##ytd-popup-container
    youtube.com##ytd-consent-bump-lightbox.style-scope

    Guys it's not just Youtube.
    It also looks like Google. * which probably behaves differently in chrome-based browsers than firefox-based ones.

    Example:

    Chrome - Local script inline - block:

    100.jpg

    Chrome - Local script inline - allow:

    100a.jpg

    If I test with NM28 the local script inline block has no effect.
    Local script inline blocking has no effect with Youtube.

    P.S.

    The pop-up also appears in Opera Android with Google search engine.
    It is necessary to change the search engine.

    P:S.1

    I have deleted all my custom rules for Youtube and Google.

    Yes, this trick made a difference for Youtube (Chrome).
    But I have to check if it works in NM28.

    Interesting though partial.
    I had to solve the problems, different method, with Google.it/.com.
    No useful solution for Google Translate in NM28, while with Chrome no problem.

    P.S. Unfortunately with the YouTube trick it is no longer possible to read the comments below the videos.:(

    against google consent
    Code:
    .m114nf.aID8W,
    .bErdLd,
    div[data-cbh="consent.google.com"],
    #consent-bump,
    .HTjtHe,
    #Sx9Kwc,
    #kwHrRc,
    .vUd4jb,
    .jw8mI
    {display: none}

    .HTjtHe
    {display: unset}

    html.QVCmK
    {
        overflow: visible !important;
    }
    grown collection, may also working with less lines.
    Google need scripts otherwise it wont work the expected way (does not matter if you had no impact, it depends on personal behavior). I need Google to work on my Google profile for Android, scripts mandatory.

    Blocking cookies is no good idea, better is to let them set and deleted when leaving page (any decent cookie extension can do, here: CookieBro).

    In case of youtube google is directing a youtube page to a consent dialog if the tab is loaded from a session (recovered by browser start) - there is nothing you can do except to keep the cookies.

    Cosmetic filters will not work any more with this new redirection to consent.google.com.
    See what gwarser of the uBO-team said about this issue:

    Yes it's this one, but I don't know what happened but I'm not getting to see it anymore, must be some filterlist that I have enabled. But shouldn't you be able to remove this stuff with the element picker too?

    BTW, I already figured out why I didn't see scripts related to Instagram and Twitter, it's because I first had to enable dpgmedia.net, after this I could allow twitter.com and instagram.com with your trick.

    I'm afraid that this didn't solve the problem, is this correct guys?

    With my NM28 (Pale Moon based) browser I had to enter 2 more exceptions for Google.it/.com.
    I haven't found any good alternatives to solve the problem with Google Translate (which I don't use, but would have liked to solve this problem).
    I always get an excessive wait to be able to enter phrases.

    With Opera Android I had to change the search engine to avoid the pop-up.

    Glad it worked for you, but of course gorhill himself does not recommend applying "Allow" rules at all, even though in my own experience, I've had on rare occasion no choice but to apply them to get a site to work properly.

    As I said in my post nr. 5359 one has to block the youtube consent-cookie in the browser in combination with the mentioned rules. Anyway this works for me.

    @nicolaasjan

    You might check to see if you're having the same issues I am with the Google Translate specific to your language.
    Not with Chrome because there aren't any.

    And maybe check if the problem only shows up with UBO Legacy?

    I get this with uBO disabled:

    https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/ypbj4yhy5ehl5sh/screenshot-gt1.png

    And when uBO is enabled, it all works.
    I think it's probably this filter in Adguard Annoyances (used the logger):
    Code:
    translate.google.*##div[class^="gb_"][data-cbh="consent.google.com"]
    When I disable Adguard Annoyances it's back again.

    The above is in Firefox 87.

    In Pale Moon with uBO Legacy this filter doesn't seem to work though...

    P.S.:
    I noticed that Google translates not very well...
    When using DeepL, it was much better.
    For this I have a convenient bookmarklet in the toolbar.
    Just select some text and click on the bookmarklet. Voilà. :)

    To make this:
    Create a new bookmark in the Bookmarks Toolbar with a name like DeepL and in "Location" paste:

    Code:
    javascript:(function translate(){function se(d) {return d.selection ? d.selection.createRange().text : d.getSelection() }s = se(document);for (i=0; i<frames.length && !s; i++)s = se(frames[i].document);if (!s || s=='') s = prompt('Enter text to translate with DeepL','');open('https://www.deepl.com/translator#../en/'%20+%20(s%20?%20encodeURIComponent(s)%20:%20'')).focus();})();

    @Sampei Nihira:
    In Pale Moon I used the element picker to remove this overlay you can see in my screenshot and created this rule:

    Code:
    translate.google.nl##.pGxpHc

    I've already found a way to remove what you call the overlay (it's the consent pop-up):

    100.JPG

    It's the rest of it, i.e. what I showed in the image I inserted, that I can't......

    I looked at the issue again today in Pale Moon, but I don't encounter that ... :confused:
