This is what I think, too. This might be the reason why KIS is unable to process these files, but I cannot really be sure if that's actually the case.
It's possible the files are already scanned and in the iSwift/iChecker database, hence not (re)scanned.
If you expand the Report to full screen or slide the window to the right, the far right column shows the reason the object was not processed.
Your report shows a lot of PDF files which are compound files. So are installer files such as .MSI, etc. Check your settings for the File Anti-virus. Expand the "Advanced Settings" and look at the settings for compound files.
This might be the answer. I want KIS to scan compound files, so this might be the reasons why there are some unprocessed files that could not be scanned because they were in use or locked as @xxJackxx pointed out.
Wondering if my post #181 was any help: "If you expand the Report to full screen or slide the window to the right, the far right column shows the reason the object was not processed."
Well, it should help and I do appreciate your reply, but the reason given in the reports is always "Size", which does not really make sense in this particular case. I can see all sorts of files in the report, large and small, but this does not tell me why they could not be processed. I still think they could not be processed because they where in use or locked when KIS tried to scan them. I just cannot come up with any other explanation that makes sense. This "size" tag does not make any sense at all.
"Size" is also the "Reason" in my report for all but in my case "Size" makes sense as all files listed are large.
And in mine. You have not told us what settings you have in the Advanced Settings, under "Scan of compound files". Which options are selected? What is the value for "Maximum file size", etc.?
I disabled the option “Extract compound files in the background”. I haven’t had any addtions to the reports list since then. Seems to be the solution to the issue I described above.
