Personally, I applaud this move in theory and I'm one who dislikes Amazon and tracking in that order (damn scalper, you.). It's to combat the feet-on-the-dashboard-while-smoking-a-doob kind of activity, for starters, I bet It happens, believe it.
I would think in that line of work, the market itself would correct the situation. How many 'fares' are going to get into a Lyft/Uber ride that smells like Cheech & Chong's bouncing low-rider?! Or impaired driving? I'd bet repeat business is a killer for such a driver.
Yep. I was in various forms of Transport Management for over 25 years, after many years of being a "feet-on-the-dashboard doob smoker" - and part time driver. 4...3..2...1.....Exactly. BUT, you can't pool this with giving the government access to your private communications. Apples and oranges!
