    Hello and thanks for keeping this thread up to date. I have an ESET license that expires sometime in May. Does anyone know if I buy a new license from NewEgg, will the time start ticking on the day it is purchased or does the time start counting down only when it is installed? Really it isn't a big deal and I will probably pick up a license sometime in April ... just curious.

    Legitimate licenses like those sold by Newegg are not activated until installation and would begin their stated term at that time.
