    This list is not up to date.
    The badness index of the sites is below the danger threshold:

    club = 0.13
    fun = 0.32
    download = 0.58
    cricket = 0.03
    win = 0.20
    monster = 0.09

    We highly recommend making a change:

    I only add new entries (my filters) when i assume use of a blocked domain.
    IMHO, xyz is no usefull TLD for me, never visited.

    TK, really? (tokelau) lol

    Could you add a header with a little more info such as title etc.? I would rather see an informative filter title rather than the URL
    Here's and example:
    Code:
    # Title: Online Malicious Domains Blocklist
    # Updated: Sun, 28 Feb 2021 00:13:18 UTC
    # Expires: 1 day (update frequency)
    # Homepage: https://gitlab.com/curben/urlhaus-filter
    # License: https://creativecommons.org/publicdomain/zero/1.0/
    # Source: https://urlhaus.abuse.ch/api/

    Hi ~ did anyone have a view on this query which I originally posted on 26 Jan in response to gorhill's comment (also quoted above)?

    In addition to using efficient anti-tracker lists, it might be interesting to equip your browser with a dedicated extension.
    I prefer to use some advanced settings in CCleaner to delete sensitive data* from my personal New Moon 28 browser.
    Which obviously doesn't come with the recent Firefox features.

    * = It probably doesn't interest any member of W. but it might be an idea to do the same with other browsers.

    Thanks for the info. I completely overlooked doing that earlier, so I added a header with more information including the license.

    Thanks for the suggestion. I mainly list TLD's and URL's that I personally encountered, mostly from Twitter spam campaigns and tech-support scams. I would remove any TLD if I experienced site breakages, but I haven't found any legitimate websites using those domains except for the Balabolka site, which I whitelisted. I notably didn't include .xyz because several legitimate proxy services use it.

    This must be a static list (not updated) as stated originally made as a proof-of-concept
    to see how few entries that a modern-day adblocker would need to block ads.

    Extremely Condensed Adblocking List

    Yeah, I never encountered such TLD's when browsing.
    Perhaps you'll end up on one, when clicking on a link in a spam mail, which you shouldn't do anyway.

    ofc i can click links in mails, but i get a dialog if i really want to open link with "...". but spam rises again and i think a whitelist in my account settings make more sense these days than a black list. Firefox as default link target with a full feature profile can prevent most damage. mailwasher is not allowed to access the regular web, only mail ports to pre-defined ips. i dont trust any mail even it is from myself because myself was used for spamming (wth i never wrote this mail - lol) it suddenly happened and it ended some quick. some years ago i had a tk domain for my personal fun, then they become moneygrubbing.

    I will take a look, but to be honest the standard lists in uBlock are enough for me and I don't like to enable them all because eventually it will start to break things.

    What type of extensions do you advice? And CCleaner has become crap itself, but that's my personal opinion. Perhaps a cleaning function can become a new feature of uBlock?

    well i doubt that'll ever happen, too since ubo does not even block 1st party cookies. it only prevents them from being read by 3rd parties.

    Efficient blocking of trackers is the first line of defense.
    Personally I have increased the anti-tracker lists in UBO compared to the default lists, so I am above the 70% estimated in the article.

    As for CCleaner back in 2019 I've included custom rules:

    https://msfn.org/board/topic/178378-ccleaner-mailnews-new-moon/?tab=comments#comment-1163230

    for cleaning New Moon 28 which are rather difficult to enter,if only conceptually, because the browser doesn't have a canonical installation:

    **** New Moon 28 is seen by CCleaner as Firefox ****

    200.JPG

    Currently I have enabled some rules that allow me to obtain performance comparable to the recent extension Cookie AutoDelete (obviously not installable in my browser),if of course the same rules that are NOT enabled by default are selected.

    Are you willing to share those rules? And which rules are enabled by default?

    Cookie AutoDelete looks interesting, I wonder why this isn't implemented in Vivaldi and Edge for example.

    But uBlock does block first party cookies related to tracking in Firefox from what I understood. Now that I think about it, I believe that the "I don't care about cookies" extension is also designed to block certain type of cookies.

    I think we are OT in this thread.
    My rules are specific to New Moon 28.
    There is probably no W.member using this browser.

    It is much easier for you to check the rules that can be used with your browsers in the Winapp2.ini file:

    https://github.com/MoscaDotTo/Winapp2/

    and create a file specific to your needs by copying the specific rules you need.

    _________

    For the default enabled rules,I was referring to the Cookie Autodelete extension.

    IndexdDB
    LocalStorage
    ..........

    None of these cleanup rules are enabled by default in the extension.

    No, I Don't Care About Cookies does not block any cookies. It "Remove cookie warnings from almost all websites!"
    That's cookie warnings, not cookies.

    Edit: I don't use that extension as I have added their list to uBO.

    Why I believed that it blocked cookies, is because without disabling this extension, certain websites won't display certain content. For example on CNBC you will even see a warning that cookies are not enabled, see link and scroll to the bottom. I don't block any third party cookies with Vivaldi on that site, and even with uBlock disabled you will get this warning.

    This works for me, allowing privacymanager.io:
    @@||gdpr-wrapper.privacymanager.io^$domain=gids.tv
    After answering the cookie prompt the embedded content is loaded.

    Is allowed completely here, makes no sense for only one domain
    Code:
    * privacymanager.io * allow
    New Moon is correlated to pale moon and had no updates since 2018, and yes, this vulnerable crap here is very off topic, because it cannot use the current build of uBlock, only the legacy version.
