They probably will limit the number of passwords in the future. I think the free versions of other products already do that.

In case anyone missed the post above:
How to migrate from LastPass to Bitwarden Password Manager.
Bitwarden is not bad, and certainly not for free. It is on my very short list of possible replacements.

I think I'll stick with Enpass for the foreseeable future.

I am having lifetime license of Sticky Password since 2016 but didn't use mainly because of its lack of linux support. However, I have now imported Lastpass accounts to Sticky Password and planning to give it a longer shot. I don't use Linux frequently and so won't have much issues I hope. Also I've been trying to acquaint myself with Bitwarden which is also supported on Linux. Lets see which one I finally happen to use in the long run!

I see this as a wider trend - more and more services are locking down, tightening down, prices going up. This is because the golden era of the Internet boom is gone. The Web is now just what cable and satellite tv was in the 80s and 90s. As someone said, people on this forum are old dinosaurs, and we grew up with the PC. For the future generation, paying for Internet services, all very narrow and controlled, will be the norm, like gym membership or anything you do "monthly".

So the sooner you accept it - and possibly decide to distance yourself from the "modern" Web, the eaiser it will be for you.

Resistance is futile. You will be assimilated.

You sound sour Mrk, calm down.
There's a crisis coming soon of Biblical proportions, the world (and internet) after that will be cleaner and brighter.

Yes exactly, this depends on the person. BTW, I see that Lastpass Premium costs about 35 euro in Europe and there is also a freeware version with quite a lot of features.

Yes, free version of Bitwarden, is 99% the same as LastPass. The first thing to do (after import your password from lastpass as xxJackxx said on post n. 26 ) is click on the Bitwarden icon of your browser and go to Setting - Options and active "Enable Auto-fill on page load". With this activated you are able to use Bitwarden exactly you are does with Lastpass. For me no difference between the 2 apps

I have. It has problems with detecting when to auto-save for logins. And if you try to manually create a login(password + other info) it shows an error. You need to reinstall the extension to fix it. Which is why I want to look for an alternative.

The problem isn't apparent at first. I used for while with no problem but then one day when I tried to make a login, it didn't work.

*After looking into it more. It appears Brave adblock might be the cause. (Seems Opera or browsers with built-in adblockers can encounter the error too).
Anyway if you have any issue with it, try to reinstall just in case.

Quick question that they do not mention...
They say we can use COMPUTERS and it will be OK for all of our systems logging in as long as we do not use Mobile devices. OK, but they say that it WILL work for all of our Computers in our house, but what is not clear to me is if we can access that Free Account from several systems in our house at the SAME time?

Well, I guess no one knows and we will just have to wait to see what does work!

If they keep it the way it is now with the free version on computers, yes you can use it on all computers in your home. I run it on two Win 10 computers and a Mac all at the same time.

Agree, but I've switched to Bitwarden anyway, as I want to at least have the option to run on mobile too, although I rarely do.

I uninstalled LastPass from my phone to make sure I don't get locked into the mobile version. I'm going to run it on the computers until I find its replacement as this will get worse, it does each year.

Also as @Rasheed187 stated above, they are now tracking the Android app. Enough of this already.

I've noticed that too. I wouldn't doubt another price increase on the paid version and limited amount of passwords or computers used on the free version soon.

Great everyone. Yes, we can now use it on several systems at the same time.
I looked into Bitwarden but see several users who say they have issues logging in to several sites like banking.
I guess the Lastpass $27 per year is discounted until May 6th and after that it is back up to their regular price of $36 or whatever they want a year from now!

I've just migrated from LP to Bitwarden. I'll keep the csv file on my PC for a while, covered with a pw with Glary. I'll keep LP auth for a while, adding new entries to Authy.

I always liked that BW is open-source and my hands were itchy to try it. Now LP pushed me to see how's it.

KeePass2 along with the Kee browser extension works well. The extension accesses KeePass passwords stored on the computer. The combination of these two seems better able to log into sites automatically than Bitwarden, which I've found can be a bit hit and miss in this respect.

This setup also works on Linux Mint but is a bit more tricky to set up.
