Not at all- I just wanted to make clear that SS should not be considered an all-inclusive anti-malware application as even the Developers do not consider SS to be optimal against ransomware. Thus something like NeuShield would be a wise adjunct in order to protect Documents, Photos, etc from encryption.

It's good with Mice but sadly not too good with Worms.

Worms exploit vulnerabilities primarily. Other methods are:
    https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/security/what-is-a-worm.html#~steps-to-worm-mitigation.

Therefore, your best mitigations are to use a top-tiered AV solution, keep all system and app software fully patched, and apply the patch ASAP. On the later until a patch is available and if the vulnerability is protocol related, the service should be disabled as noted in the answer to this CISSP exam question: https://www.skillset.com/questions/...ork-worm-that-takes-advantage-of-a-protocol-v

    Hi,

Just wondering what will stop "Ransomware Black Claw (Trojan.Ransom.BlackClaw), may at first sight look similar to Jigsaw" ?
Also, what will protect you from NotPetya Ransomware?
What are your suggestions? Umm! For stopping the above?

    Kind regards

ReHIPS isolated environments are based on Windows built-in isolation of different users from each other and from the system (if they don't have admin privileges). If you have an isolated program, it will be executed from a specially created ReHIPS user with limited access rights. This unique way to run your applications makes the real user's profile folder and registry hive unaccessible by the isolated programs

The program has a built-in DeployHelper which helps to install the program right into the new ReHIPS user. Now all the settings will go from the start into isolated environment

The program will keep you safe and secure against many online threats, ransomware and cryptolockers

    ReHIPS?

Wouldn't it be fair to consider it abandonware? Hasn't been updated in close to 3 years and last i tried it the browser wasn't even recognized!

Yes, this seems like a huge drawback. I mean wouldn't be something like Rollback RX be a better choice then? Also, SpyShelter does offer folder protection but it isn't designed to protect against ransomware. It should purely be used to protect against spyware.

    Good Morning,

May, I suggest the following by Ransomware Rewind , click on Prevention, also check out their Unlocked or Block Ransomware and Backup by xSecuritas.
At least check into the above, that I have mention, if you do not anything else......

Feedback, on what find out......Good, Bad and/or Ugly.

Make it a great one, that is today.....

    Apparently?

It is abandonware and to advice someone to buy/use it is not a good idea IMHO

Did I say to buy it?
    I think not.
Use it, don't use it, don't care.
