    Wow...i don't mind as long as my messages are encrypted... but yea...this is a bit concerning...

    It depends what you mean with encrypted. If you mean encrypted from and to the server, yes. But they are readable for the server unless you use Secret Chat, but that is not possible for groups and the encryption protocol has also been criticized by cryptographers.
