Is it the _paf file that gets listed that way ? Or the portable exe file ?

The paf file is not part of the scan. Only used to install.
    Code:
    Mozilla Thunderbird, Portable Edition PortableApps.com 78.7.0.0 D:\ThinApps\Thunderbird\ThunderbirdPortable.exe
    Thunderbird Mozilla Foundation 78.7.0 D:\ThinApps\Thunderbird\App\thunderbird\thunderbird.exe

In this case i'd suggest to "remove" second line. Has it been automatically added by SUMo or by you manually ?

No its part of the the Paf install just like Firefox.

Mozilla Firefox, Portable Edition (ESR) PortableApps.com 78.7.0.0 D:\ThinApps\Firefox\FirefoxPortable.exe
Firefox (ESR) Mozilla Foundation 78.7.0 D:\ThinApps\Firefox\App\Firefox\firefox.exe
Firefox (ESR) (64 bits) Mozilla Foundation 78.7.0 D:\ThinApps\Firefox\App\Firefox64\firefox.exe

    Mozilla Thunderbird, Portable Edition PortableApps.com 78.7.0.0 D:\ThinApps\Thunderbird\ThunderbirdPortable.exe
    Thunderbird Mozilla Foundation 78.7.0 D:\ThinApps\Thunderbird\App\thunderbird\thunderbird.exe
    Thunderbird (64 bits) Mozilla Foundation 78.7.0 D:\ThinApps\Thunderbird\App\thunderbird64\thunderbird.exe

You did not flag the 32-bit version 86.0.0.0 as Beta like you did with 64-bit

BTW, auto switching from the status page to the Software Shop is annoying as hell. I wanted to take a screenshot of the status for Thunderbird 32-bit and couldn't because of it.:thumbd: Why don't you just add a link to buy a license on the status page instead redirecting without knowing if the user is done or not.

    Also, to clarify:
"Unlike the Mozilla Firefox ESR, Thunderbird does not provide a separate ESR release. This is because the regular Thunderbird release is already an ESR release. It remains stable and on that major version for approximately one year. Only Thunderbird Beta follows the more frequent major version releases."

Yes but with latest version of SUMo only the xxxxPortable is added not the other ones.
Remove the 2 other lines and rescan and it should be OK
v86 now flagged as beta for both ... thanks !
Autoswitching only for "Free" users. Discount available on demand for PRO

    Thanks !!

Btw, my mistake, it may still be an open issue : https://www.kcsoftwares.com/bugs/view.php?id=5469
    But i'm unable to reproduce.
Would you please run latest SUMo, remove the 2 extra line and rescan the paf folder ?
    Thanks !

[SUMo] Error Report for xls2x by DIaLOGIKa v 0.0.695.0 - SUMo reports Update available (1.0.0.0)

    Two problems here:
o Part of Winmerge2011 PAF portable (probably no code present in SUMO to auto-ignore)
o Not checking the Product version to see if it is newer than the File version (why is this so difficult to automate?)

    xls2x.png
The Product version from the B2XTranslator tool is the same as its' file version 1.0.0.0

I'd clearly recommend to "Ignore" such subproduct.
Is it detected in Normal mode (or "deep scan") ?

Normal scan. Looks like I'll have to start ignoring portable subproducts permanently instead of skip :(

BTW, is SUMO looking at both version entries when reporting an update?

Why not both and use the higher version to determine update availability? (just trying to understand)

You misunderstood my friend.... v12.* is BETA until it goes stable which may be a while as we experienced with v11.*

So every version update to v12 will currently be beta. Current stable version is 11.0.1.14
