[SUMo] Error Report for Emsisoft Clean (64 bits) by Emsisoft v 2021.1.0.10609 - SUMo reports Update available (2021.1.0.10621)
This belongs to EEKIT as well, which has not yet been updated by a newer version of EEKIT.

Isn't EEKIT portable treated as a separate app? The above will happen every time the normal version gets updated.

    All 3 fixed.
Is EEKIT detected as a dedicated app on top of these lines ?

In case of doubt, i'd suggest to uninstall .... not sure any Flash version will get any security update after EOL of the main branch.

No, but if there are too many lines for 1 single product and only 1 is enougth removing extra line will just make SUMo faster for the same result / quality

Ignoring detected files from this package is just a workaround for getting rid of false positives. They will keep occurring unless you ignore them permanently which I only do for programs that I no longer want updated.

I know that, but shouldn't this case be handled by SUMO instead of the user?

Yes, and I do it for obvious subproducts. I had this one on my list for future analysis.

Emsisoft keeps getting detected, maybe there's smth else u can do to stop the false detections other than manually fixing em everytime it happens?

Unfortunately, beta tagging is still a manual operation on my side.

I mean there has to be a way to detect that when there's 100000 exes in one folder and they all say the same version and all include Emsisoft in it, that it's actually only 1 product?

Ofc, I'd imagine for other products it would have to be a more complex rule than just that, otherwise u might run into false positives. But we gotta find a way to understand when an exe is a product, and when is it not.

There is an open ticket for this in our "feature suggestions" database. Not planned in the very short term, but this would certainly help in this case.

I'll keep reporting it until you get tired of fixing it manually. :D
