Huh, I still see this one on the download page:

    Version : 2.23.1.111 / December 20th 2020

And the App itself also says that’s up-to-date.

Just downloaded dumo, been years since I used it, tho this machine is old, so no worries, here are the results:

    https://i.imgur.com/3SNHa3F.png

    So:

    1) Intel Management Engine Interface
    WRONG
I have the latest IMEI for my motherboard and cpu (z87-k and 4770k)

Now, finding such drivers is generally not that easy, but this site has most of em

    https://www.station-drivers.com/ind...ository&Itemid=352&func=select&id=106&lang=en

As you can see 11.X is the latest I can use, 12.x and onward all say for series 100,200,300 etc, my motherboard is z87-k, so I can only use up to 11.x

The driver dumo is recommending me is not even the newest one, if you go to 15.x you will see there are newer ones (and also 2040 specifically is missing, it has 2039 and 2041), but they all say
    • Pour: Intel Z490, Z390, Z370, X299, Z170, Z270, Z270, H170, B250, B150... (Serie 100/200/300/400 Serie) (the site is french just like you, what a coincidence hehe)

    2) Realtek High Definition Audio

Dumo got it right, nice - https://www.station-drivers.com/ind...tory&Itemid=352&func=fileinfo&id=4723&lang=en
Weirdly enough, the latest realtek audio driver on realtek site is from 2017, the one I had installed

    3) Realtek Ethernet Driver

Dumo got this one right too, nice. I downloaded from realtek site.

Now, after swapping those realtek drivers for the newer version, I did another scan today, and got this https://i.imgur.com/WvFKjj0.png

Somehow, IMEI disappeared, sata ahci disappeared too (seems like it's same package/driver as the usb extensible host), what could explain this?

Also I dont have license for dumo, im using free version, but I doubt a bit u have the download link... I did a few google searches (about 15 min) and found nothing

Station drivers doesnt have it either https://www.station-drivers.com/ind...ository&Itemid=353&func=select&id=399&lang=en latest driver is from 2016

    This is fishy to me

This is why I rarely update my drivers unless something is broken.

Well I hadnt updated from 2+ years cuz my motherboard z87-k is from 2014 so nothing new to update... no new bios nothing, only realtek (and apparently that usb controller driver?)

I update amd gpu drivers from adrenalin

That's why there's a "right click > skip" feature in DUMo. Once you find a false positive, "skip" it to get it muted until the next update (potentially legit)

Yeah but I'm not sure if the usb controller is legit or not... I mean its not like someone cares cuz like what difference is a smol version change gonna make. But its about the principle in ur program, does it actually have a download link? (assuming I get the paid version) Cuz I could not find one in google... Only sites telling me the version but no download link anywhere (or old versions)

So dont get me wrong, u spent a lot of effort in ur programs and u deserve to get money cuz im sure there are plenty of people who use ur products for free without any loss of functionality whatsoever (or barely), well dumo is an exception cuz drivers are notoriously hard to find... there was another dev, florian from excubits.com , and he closed his site cuz apparently "home users were using the demo and not buying", so now he works with enterprises. So I can understand its hard to make money when everyone uses for free but I think it's a bit weird if u advertise ur driver program can download stuff without knowing if it's actually legit, or even if it is, there might not be a download link. I at least couldn't find one from this googling of about 20 mins, not of this driver. But i'm sure it exists, somewhere...

I update drivers only through manufacturer, SupportAssist on Dell, Lenovo Vantage on ThinkBook (even though some consider these bloatware).

with 15-20 drivers, even if it takes 10 sec to scan one cannot complain, so I would say no, it's pretty fast, for me at least
