Kill-Update
Prevents Windows 10 from updating. Can be manually disabled when updating is convenient.
How does it work?
Every 10 seconds, this application checks a few services related to Windows Update, and if not disabled, disables them.
Enabling Windows Defender
If enabled in the menu, this program temporarily re-enables updates, then tells Windows Defender to download new signatures, and disables updates again. It does so every day.

Installing the latest Windows Updates can sometimes have adverse effects. Many users prefer delaying updates for some time, just to make sure they don't introduce bugs, or, in worst case scenarios, delete data or make the system unbootable.

It is a user-friendly tool that blocks Windows Updates with minimal user interaction. The executable is less than 350KB in size and the program is portable.

You will need to run the application with administrator privileges, that's because it deals with system-related services. Kill-Update runs in the background, you will see a padlock icon on the system tray. Right-click on it and click on the "Locked" option. That's it, a 2-click solution that prevents Windows Updates. Does this prevent Windows Defender from downloading updates? No, it doesn't. Check the tray menu, it has another option that reads "Windows Defender Allowed". The setting is quite self-explanatory, but it is worth noting that it is not pre-enabled, so make sure you enable it if you rely on Windows Defender protections.

Cool will check it out, I'm currently using Win Update Stop and I can of course also enable Windows Update via one click if I want to download Win Defender signatures. But with this tool, you can keep it disabled so quite interesting if it works.

Did you check it out? It seems like it doesn't run on my Win 10 system. I run it and then it won't show up in the tray, but for some reason it does run some obscure process called "Zombify", is this tool legit or what? Win Defender and VirusTotal seem to think it's clean and I also didn't get any alert from SpyShelter.
