I don't fully understand why this new Ransomware Task Force. There is already the No More Ransom project. See:
    https://www.wilderssecurity.com/thr...anies-join-forces-to-fight-ransomware.387365/

The No More Ransom project is also a coalition of industry, government, law enforcement etc.
Why this new Task Force not put under the umbrella of the No More Ransom project? Remember that McAfee was one of the original founders of that project.
    Anyways, whatever ...

I can't help it but to me it sounds like re-inventing the wheel. There is already an international organisation, the No More Ransom project.
But wait, it is probably all about politics (which we cannot discuss here). It was based in Europe. There were hardly three-letter US agencies involved. They could have easily joined. Years too late the sound of a bell was heard there, it seems... So, good luck with re-inventing the wheel. What a waste of money, time and effort. But good luck with it.
