@FanJ -- Nice deal Thanks!!! From time to time, this file integrity checker has helped me spot problems long before any other security app. It needs to be used everyday or two -- otherwise, the read-outs can get lengthy.

For those interested and for your info:
Version 7.03.0002 (17 March 2019) was build with Visual Studio 2017.
    The changelog doesn't mention it.
The changelog for the initial version of version 7 (1 May 2016) did mention at that time that it was build with Visual Studio 2015.
Changelog can be found at https://www.adinf.com/en/faq/changelog.php

There have been made some info changes on the site related to Visual Studio and the Universal C Runtime download (if a person needs it).

    1.
    The Changelog at https://www.adinf.com/en/faq/changelog.php
The (latest item at this moment) v7.03.0002 03/17/2019
If you click on it, you see now added:
    2.
FAQ item # 18 "Why does not ADinf32 start and complains that some DLLs are absent?" has been changed.
    https://adinf.com/en/faq/ go there to # 18
    It says now:
    =====

    So:
The ADinf site is now indeed telling that Visual Studio 2017 was used for the latest version.
It gives a new download link for the Universal C Runtime (if a person needs it).
And it gives a link to the article ("Microsoft ends Visual C++ Redistributable Chaos") from Martin Brinkmann at gHacks.

    Edit later:
FAQ item # 19 has been changed too (same as FAQ # 18 was changed).

    And it is now freeware.

At the moment I don't know yet whether the Pro version (which I have) is also free for personal use.

    Hello @FanJ ,
You are most welcome my friend ;)...
I also use the Pro version. My license has expired so I can confirm that the current free version is not Pro. I do not know what the plans are for the Pro version at the moment but there is no option to purchase it any longer.

    Thank you my dear friend!

    PS:
I think that I didn't notice this "Incorrect ADinf32 termination "; but of course I could be wrong.
Will at some later moment upgrade, but not now.

    Hello Jan,

You are most welcome ;) ...
I did not notice the "Incorrect ADinf32 termination" either as ADinf32 seemed to run with no issues here.
I have already done the uninstall of the previous ADinf32 version and installed the new v8.01.

I think that there is something wrong with the Pro version. I might be wrong (of course I can be wrong), but I have sent an email to Dmitry about it. Let's wait.

    Let me tell some more.
The issue must have been started after the recent changes. Is it serious? No, I don't think so. But it is an issue. It affects the Pro version.
What is the difference between the Pro and non-Pro version?
The Pro version can use the LAN64 algorithm; the non-Pro version has CRC48 as strongest algorithm. It's up to the user to choose which one to use.
Here is a screenshot from my very old overview.

    ADinf_005_CRC_1.gif

So, you can assign different checksum algorithms to different file types as you can see in that screenshot.

How did I discover the issue?
Well, I wanted to add another file type (let's say with extension .xyz ) and assign it the LAN64 algorithm. I could not; only CRC48 as strongest one. Then you know something is wrong.
After the recent changes I had gotten a Pro key.
It looks like there is something wrong with the Pro key system.
Although I was told that it would be fixed in a new version, I actualy don't know if and when that will happen.

    Hi,
As you can see: I have edited my previous post # 67

I had contact with Dmitry and got a very kind email from him.

We all know about the very, very sad things happening in Europe .....
But we all know that you can not post here about political issues.
So this posting is going to be a balancing act ...

The EU and the US have put restrictions on the site. (not particular on this site but in general)
But I do have also completely trust in Dmitry. We know each other for some 20 years.

    ===

There is a new version released on 28 Oct 2022.
The site is now again in English.
But you can only buy it via Russia.

    Version 1.00 - Gen2

    Edit:
I have added this note: not particular on this site but in general

There is a new FAQ item about the new version ADinf32 Gen2 :
21 & 22) - Why doesn't version 1.00/Gen2 replace v8.01? Why does ADinf32 keep second diskinfotable copy in root folder for every disk?
    https://www.adinf.com/en/faq/
You can read there the new FAQ item. It is a combined FAQ item.

I have it installed now ( v1.01/Gen2 ) and did let it do a run.
    So far OK!
Have to take closer look at things; but that could take some days due to not related appointments.
