Ditched Rollback Rx, not because it didn't work perfectly but because I'm into trying to use only Microsoft/W10 programs now. So going with Configure Defender, Simple Windows Hardening. Chrome with Defender Browser Protection, UBO and Edge with Trafficlight, and UBO, back up is Aomei. Secondary scanners are Hitman Pro and EEK.

Back to Hard Configurator on Win 10 20H2 with Win 10 Enhanced. Configure Defender at High and Windows firewall hardened via H.C.
Edge browser. The most important security is Aomei Backupper Pro 6.1 with current backup, and working documents saved to external HDD.

Just out of interest, do you find this simpler than using the all-in Hard Configurator (if you have indeed used the latter)?

Yah, I find it easier, HC has a lot of settings that you can use, a lot of them I have no idea what they do, SWH sets up everything automatically.

Big change here. Saw a discount for Emsisoft, got nostalgic and bought a copy, went back to an old setup I really liked, consisting of Emsisoft and MBAE. It also included Appguard , but not this time.

I liked Defender but disliked the gui/settings, same goes for SWH and CD, great programs but below average and somewhat confusing GUI's. I'm thinking if I croaked tomorrow my partner wouldn't have a clue if something went off the rails in one of these programs.o_O

I may be imagining things but I also think my webpages open faster now. We'll see how long I keep this setup.

It's a legitimate rebrand of Zemana AntiMalware. Unlike Zemana, there is no free version. But it does have on big advantage over Zemana in that is has not yet been updated to version 3 yet. Version 3 of Zemana has issues with false positives and v2 is often regarded as being superior.

iolo Malware Killer and STOPzilla AntiMalware are also rebrands of Zemana v2.

If you install a v2 release of Zemana itself, it will try to automatically update to v3. If you cancel the update, to stay with v2, it will be unable to run scans.

But the question is, does it, MalwareFox, really detect anything since it has such a low rate of warnings for, anything.

It probably is not as good as the native product since the Zemana cooperation with companys and therefore malware definitions are not the same nowadays.

I feelt the same with WD, SWH and CD, especially with WD, the other 2 one can understand and learn pretty easy. WD`s gui is a somewhat confusing mess, as usual when MS delivers something.

I just installed it and it is still detecting threats and uploading suspicious files for cloud analysis. At first it appeared that the cloud upload was not working. As I scanned a number of threats and installers and none of the files it uploaded were detected. So I figured that perhaps it wasn't working, even though the uploads were completing and the scan logs showed no errors.

However after scanning some more files, it's clear the cloud upload is still working, as some files that were uploaded were detected.

For anyone interested, at the moment they have a Black Friday sale, where you can buy a one year license for just $9.95. If you visit malwarefox.com you will see the offer at the very top of the page.
