I need advice and help, please. My laptop is 64 bit. In Windows 7 and 10 I'm on 2.49.5 32-bit (x86) version and I gather it's the last version of the current design. I use SeaMonkey browser a lot and use the mail client a lot. Now comes 2.51.1 totally reworked job apparently. Not sure IF to change to it. Suggestions? If I were to change, should I pick the new 64-bit version for both Windows 7 and 10 or stay with 32-bit? I gather if I pick 64-bit I must uninstall 2.49.5. Will I loose my profiles? Bookmarks? Address lists? Details in their Release notes about 64-bit version scare and confuse me a bit, so if anyone has suggestions how to go about the entire move installation I'd appreciate it very much.
Bump, I guess. Has everybody abandoned SeaMonkey? It looks like I might be the only one in this universe trying to stay with it and its great mail client possibly updated to 2.51.1 but switching from 32 to 64 bit issue, maybe. Some handholding offered by Widers experts would be most welcome
I think you mean 2.53.1 (latest stable version of Seamonkey) First you need to uninstall the x86-version. Your bookmarks, browsing history, etc. will be retained (see below) Now install the x64-version. But... you are upgrading to a newer version and the profile will be changed: "This version makes changes to your profile that can't be reverted in case you want to go back to a previous version of SeaMonkey. You MUST absolutely do a full backup of your profile before trying SeaMonkey 2.53.1.If problems arise it is good to have backup of the profile. Profile backup

On Windows 7, I finally switched to 2.53 64 bit version from 32 bit when 2.53.3 came out. No installation issues. Settings preserved. It's working really well. Thank you mood for all your update notes and for helping me in post 55 above. Still to do in windows 10.

I'm on 2.53.3. on Windows 7 everything is OK. Strangely, on Windows 10, I wasn't able to SaveAs any webpage. Clicking it did NOTHING. It turns out that I had to reload mozilla archive format from thunderbird.net. Now it works fine. Not sure if it was due to SeaMonkey or yesterday's upgrade to win10-2004. I just don't use SaveAs that often. Just sharing this in case someone runs into this problem.

I can't find any information about what this JustOff is. I use NoScript v5. Haven't had the guts to update to v10+. What does this JustOff thingie give me that's better than NoScript?
Github has decided to only support 4 browsers. You can check it at login: I had found a way to circumvent this check, inhibiting the script you see indicated with the arrow and inserting some rules in UBO. Obviously the use of Github was limited but sufficient for my needs. But Github is constantly changing. The extension injects the webcomponent required by Github and therefore makes it compatible even browsers that otherwise would not be.
