    It has been a long time since I have posted in here. It seems to me that for FR to be effective the distance between the eyes for instance becomes important. I do not see how FR can be effectively used when when a critical piece of information like the mouth is removed by the face-mask. With a mask on the size of the mouth is obscured including its relation to the nose and eyes. This is all information that is stored in the database that is drawn upon. I am guessing in the next 3-6 months as more and more people get inoculated the need for masks will slowly disappear thus boosting the detection ratio.
