    Well now I'm not sure what the issue was. I reimaged an earlier backup, using the same SBIE version, same Vivaldi version (3.5.2080.3) and the same Sandnboxie.ini as before and everything worked. I can't explain why.

    Hey again! Great updates so far, glad to see everything is still flowing along. Just wanted to ask again though, has anyone had any luck with getting Geforce Experience / Nvidia Control Panel working with sandboxed programs? Don't even know if this would be possible, but I assume some variation of Resource Access settings might be able to give the Nvidia programs access to the programs? I don't really know enough about any of that to tinker with it myself, but would appreciate any help!

    Good news everyone, I finished porting all the sandboxie support pages to markup, you can find them here https://xanasoft.com/sandboxie/
    and an index of all of them: https://xanasoft.com/sandboxie/allpages/
    some deprecated pages are missing, if you would like to take a look through all the docs and send me a list of broken links that would be very helpfull.

    I tested Firefox v83-beta on my Windows-7 PC (64 Bit) within Sandboxie, and here the same problem exists: All tabs are crashing, no browsing is possible anymore. Until Firefox v82 all worked well. My used Sandboxie-version is the classic 5.31.4, but as Mattchu wrote in post-#656, this also happens with v5.33.6 or 5.43.6, when used on Windows-7 (64 Bit). It would be nice, when this could be made working again, because i need to stay on Win7 on my PC, and Sandboxie gave me the needed security while browsing the web.

    What Firefox v83.x beta build?
    5.43.6 + Firefox 83.0b4 felt the same as Firefox 82.x...for my test... about a week ago. Win10.

    It is Firefox v83.0 b6 (see screenshot). Probably only an issue under Windows-7 (64 Bit), because Mattchu stated on post-#660, that on Windows-10 the problem doesn't exist.

    I tested it a few minutes ago with the menu "Help / Start with deactivated add-ons" (translated from my german version to english), and then a normal browsing is possible! But then i de-installed all AddOns and deactivated all plugins, but with this the error still appears. There must be something different between normal browsing and the mode "Start with deactivated add-ons", which was not there in the Firefox-versions before (up to v82).

    hmmm... not cool, I'll have eider to set up win 7 VM machine with all that's needed for debuggung or use remote debuggung which may be quite annoying.
    Win 7 is not old enough to not be supported anymore...

    ok the fix seams simple enough, just allow access to the windows font cache:

    OpenIpcPath=*\BaseNamedObjects*\FontCachePort
    OpenIpcPath=*\BaseNamedObjects*\FntCache-*

    to the sandboxes you want to run that firefox in,
    for me that seamed to have fixed the issue

    Thank you so much! These 2 settings solved the problem, and now it is possible again to browse the websites like before. I don't know, what they have changed in Firefox 83, but this hotfix is helping perfectly.
    Thanks for your effort and development of this wonderful software! :thumb:

    It's been a while since I used Sticky Password but I need it sometimes, and it is crashing in SB Classic

    "SBIE2224 Sandboxed program has crashed: stpass.exe [Internet_Drop]"

    I've seen various posts here about SP but couldn't see a solution. SP program compatibility enabled.

    Fifefox 82.02x64; SB 5.43.6x64; Win 10x64 20H2 (19042.610);

    Not defending XP or anything but that poll is useless when asked here... XP is most likely used in places like Russia and China, and other poorer places, etc. that don't come to these forums and are going to see that poll...

    idk... i mean even a quite old PC can run Win 7 and in these regions obtaining a free Win 7 license is very easy if you know what i mean.... so why should they still use xp?
    For whats worth does a recent chrome or FireFox even run on XP still?

    I would have thought that people using XP do that out of necessity due to some legacy application that would be to expensive to upgrade like a Mach3 CNC machine or some old equipment, etc.

    Sorry if I join your debate.
    There are forks of recent browsers that work with Windows XP.
    I insert an example:

    I prefer to use NM28:

    And the second build for the day, warning, its experimental!

    This build introduced a couple of architectural changes to the core mechanics of sandboxie, it should work well but with larger changes without a large test base its never guaranteed.

    Caution:
    This is an experimental build, it may break things, if you experience issues please revert to 0.4.3 / 5.43.7 at https://github.com/sandboxie-plus/Sandboxie/releases/tag/v0.4.3

    ChangeLog
    Added
    • added SbieLdr (experimental)
    Changed
    • moved code injection mechanism from SbieSvc to SbieDll
    • moved function hooking mechanism from SbieDrv to SbieDll
    • introduced a new driverless method to resolve wow64 ntdll base address
    removed
    • removed support for windows vista x64

    Did I mentioned its experimental?
    anyhow here is the download : https://github.com/sandboxie-plus/Sandboxie/releases/edit/v0.4.4
