heh, like I said, "simple mind". :(

All I am finding is € EUR. And is giving all that information, like my phone number, necessary? Thanks.

I've given up trying! All the button does is take me to a PayPal page where I login then nothing...

Yeah, I wanted US$ and didn't want PayPal.
Patreon < https://www.patreon.com/DavidXanatos > was okay, for me.
    Just me. Just saying.

The currency shouldn't be an issue paypal auto converts it just google "20 USD to EUR" and google will tell you what to enter.

On the first page after pressing the button, where you enter the amount, there should be 2 buttons one for paypal and one for a normal credit card payment.

For the creditcard payment idk. what data are mandatory, I guess you can fill in arbitrary values for everything but the card data, worst case it wont work.

For those in the US buying a product or service from a business, PayPal charges a currency conversion fee. Just saying.

Just updated to the latest Firefox Beta x64 [83 Beta 1] and Sandboxie is unusable with it. I initially had the last version from Sophos installed 5.33.6 on this windows 7 x64 box but when I got the problems I overwrote with the latest version from david 5.43.6 but the problem still persists when trying to run Firefox in Sandboxie.

Basically no tabs, websites, bookmarks, anything, will open. You just get a "Gah, your tab just crashed" when you try to open any web page [DuckDuckgo.com., Google, Sky Sports, wilderssecurity.com. Neowin.net] you get the exact same message. It still works fine outside of the box so Firefox/Mozilla must have done something in this build which messes with Sbie. It could be the new engine "Warp" which is activated by default for the first time.

Just giving you a heads up as if this is an issue not just on my end [I`ll be trying on a few more systems shortly] then it will need looking into otherwise Fx will become naked...

Many thanks for continuing to support/update Sandboxie, if you need any more info I`ll check back in later and can hopefully provide it.

Windows 7 x64 with ESU support fully updated, worked fine until today.
    Sandboxie Version 5.33.6. and 5.43.6
Firefox 83 Beta 1 x64 with NoScript, uBlock Origin and HTTPS Everywhere [tryed disabling all but still the same], worked fine on all previous builds.

If you're doing this through Patreon, you will have to establish an account with them, requiring at least a valid email address.

Since I used a pre-existing PayPal account, I don't think I had to give them anything else. (To use a credit card, you would probably have to give a telephone number and billing address as well.) The information is needed because they keep your PayPal account on file for the recurring monthly payments that are what Patreon is all about. Thus, for example, you can change the monthly donation amount without logging on to PayPal again (as I eventually discovered after some confusion).

The donation amounts were listed to me in US$, presumably because I'm in the US.

I did not try donating on David's Web site... -- jclarkw

@DavidXanatos It would seem from my initial testing that this "Gah, your tab just crashed" only happens on Windows 7! I have tested on 2 windows 10 boxes and all seems fine.
Meanwhile on 3 Windows 7 systems, 2 x64, one with no AV software and 1 x32 with no AV installed I get this behaviour.

This has all been done on empty sandboxes, updated out of the sandbox or updated while sandboxed seems to make no difference...

    Firefox 83 Beta 2

If you need any more information let me know, if you don`t want to look into it, no worries, I understand 7 is out of mainstream support.

    Cheers

I've been using 20H2 and Sandboxie-plus on my real machine for the last 24 hours and the experience is turning out to be very similar to the one I had with Windows 1903 and latest Sophos version. Windows Defender did not block the Sandboxie-plus installation, the process was transparent.

The only thing that doesn't work as before is that I can't update Steam Games since 20H1 Windows version. Steam is installed inside a sandbox with full permissions to my Steam games folder; updates are downloaded but Steam does not apply them. On 1903 version this method always worked. I will use this 20H2 version until the support runs out in 18 months to avoid further incompatibilities.

Hello! I am trying to use sandboxie to run multiple clients of Black Desert Online. From the beggining I was using 5.33 or something and I had a 2224 error which happened after loading into the game like 1 minute in the game it would crash with that error. I uninstalled it and installed a 5.43.1 but I have now these errors.

SBIE1101 Sandboxie driver (SbieDrv) version 5.33.1 initialized
SBIE1101 Sandboxie driver (SbieDrv) version 5.33.1 initialized
SBIE1101 Sandboxie driver (SbieDrv) version 5.33.1 initialized
    SBIE9234 Service startup error level 9153 status=C0000034 error=-1073741772
SBIE2331 Service start failed: [22 / 5] Access is denied.

Windows 10 Home Version 1909 - I have no antiviruses except for the windows defender which I tried disabling before installing this.

I have tried installing the plus version and doing all the maintenance, I have made exception in my windows defender for Sandboxie folder and the Plus folder and also an exception for the sbiedrive.sys file. It cannot 'sign' or install the sbiedrive.sys file correctly. I have even disabled all the windows defender and tried installing fresh on a clean uninstall and then restarted and tried to install with antivirus disabled. Why is this sooooo hard :(

EDIT: FULLY REINSTALLED MY WINDOWS..... I was finally able to install sandboxie. Everything went good, it opens and doesn't show me any errors. However, my main goal was to run Black Desert Online for the purpose of multi client. I get some error SBIE2224 Sandboxie has crashed:blackdesert64.exe something like that.

I could install Sandboxie 5.43.6 on a fresh 20H2 install and Windows Defender did not bother. It was like installing Sophos version.

For years I usually play all my games sandboxed, so i had to install steam, origin and uplay on different sandboxes. Sadly every new Windows version break games that i used to play fine. My origin games doesn´t launch when they used too, my Steam games can´t be updated and i can´t login into Uplay anymore.

Another one that has made the update successfully from the last official 5.33.6 to David's last, thank you very much mate. It has overwritten the old version without the need to uninstall it. For now no problem with the driver, excluded in my antivirus eset. The last version of Vivaldi works perfectly again.

David, I just installed Sandboxie-Plus-x64-v0.4.2.exe on Windows 10. While, as promised, Sandboxie looks entirely different. It is also not working as expected. Whenever I download anything in a web browsing Sandbox (images for example), Sandboxie no longer asks me to recover my files outside the sandbox. I am forced to bang my way through the directory tree to find and move my files out. Is there a radio button I am missing to re-enable this option? Is this needed feature available in the non-plus version?

    Hi @ANGLAY
FWIW ~ regarding Sandboxie-Plus v0.4.2 install on W10 Home 1909-2004. My usual practice is pin SbieCtrl to taskbar. I'll call SbieCtrl from taskbar and run SbieCtrl button in system tray alone or along side SandMan button.

The recovery or the quick recovery option no longer works (after the download completes it shows no files in the sandbox:confused:) in the non plus version 5.43.6 with Chrome v86. Windows10 ver.2004.You have to select show in folder from the browser download tab ,and it then opens a sandboxed downloads explorer window, where you can see and recover the download with copy and paste. P/S after doing a clean install of non plus version 5.43.6 quick recovery and immediate recovery are now working as they should. I don't know why both pages were blank in the defaultbox setting, after I updated to Windows10 Pro ver.2004

It seems that SBIE 5.43.6 no longer works with chrome engine version <85 on Windows 10 20H2. It worked perfectly fine before updating Windows, but now I get the following message and Vivaldi crashes.

I think the highlighted line is the issue.

But newer chrome versions work fine on 20H2?

And the older chrome versions work only on windows 20H1 and older?
