    What's new in Windows 10 version 20H2
This one's a minor update, with just a handful of changes. Here's what you can expect

Are there any sidebar desktop gadgets for W10 like those for W7.

    Yep!

You will need to repair or reinstall after each major Windows update.

I started W10 today and paused updates for 35 days. Is this like i used to wait a few weeks after patch tuesday on W7 before installing hoping the buggy and bad patches were removed before i installed them.

It should download a .msi file which you just double click.

Once installed I uninstall all third party gadgets as I'm only interested in the analogue clock and CPU / RAM meter.

Actually, I just installed the latest version and now my clock has four hands and the CPU / RAM meter has twice as many needles. :ouch:

Note to self: Make image backups more often.

Hi Krusty I apologize if I'm wrong or if my memory is fooling me but doesn't virtually every software you try on your computer give you issues?

What other issues have I had, @digmor crusher ? Perhaps with WiseVector StopX, but running multiple security programs can always have issues.

Edit: Or perhaps MalwareBytes not updating as easy as it should?

Or perhaps Windows Firewall Control having an issue with rules?

Will disk cleanup in W10 remove past windows updates that are not needed.

Yes. If you run it as an Administrator, or launch it normally and then click on Clean on system files, there is an option to remove Temporary Windows installation files.

Krusty, as I said my memory may be wrong but I know there is one person on here who has virtually issues with every program on his computer. It may not be you and if so I apologize.

No offence taken, but may I suggest if you're going to post something like that again, perhaps you could post links to that member's posts giving examples? Heck, it could be me you're thinking of. My memory isn't great either, but links would help. ;)

    Cheers.

I don't see temp windows installation files listed for some reason.

If there is no files to be cleaned that option will not be shown.

The graphic card in my 2012 W7 Tower with a Intel i7 Chip went bad, so i took it to a store in town. The guy gave me W10 and a used 1 gig Nvidia Quadro 2000 card from a CAD machine for $110.00. I only had W10 for one day, so maybe that is why that option to clean the update files was not shown. I had a SSD put in last year, so now the 2012 W7 Tower has W10, a new graphic card, and a new SSD.

And I did take the plunge, is the result hassle-free?

Knowing that I dual-boot with Manjaro...

Every time I reboot it says:

    Grub Rescue: unknown file system

every time I reboot it says: unknown file system

    I followed the instructions here:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a8UuIBdMh4M

Happy to see the normal boot but it wasn't a victory yet...

    Still no-go.

I guess I found the solution on another polish forum:

    umount /boot/efi
    mount /dev/sdXY /boot/efi
    grub-install
    cp /boot/grub/x86_64-efi/core.efi /boot/efi/EFI/boot/bootx64.efi
    efibootmgr -c -d /dev/sdY -p 2 -L "manjaro" -l "EFIManjarogrubx64.efi"

    My computer:

I am a bit scared to continue.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks! I thought MS stopped providing gadgets for Win 10...
