New Microsoft Office on the way for people who don't want a subscription People who prefer to pay-once for Office will have a new option in 2021 September 23, 2020 https://www.windowscentral.com/new-microsoft-office-way-people-who-dont-want-subscription
Office 2019, the pay-once office version, is not the same as 365. There are differences. For example, there is no speech-to-text option in 2019 but there is in 365. Also, there is no fully dark mode in outlook 2019, but there is in Outlook 365.
In features. They are outdated. Office 2019 is also different from Office 365. I have both and support both versions at work.
365's much better than the perpetual version. you get all the future/feature updates with 365. that's not the case with the perpetual license. you only get updates for that version. lame.
