How is Office 2016 or 2019 outdated? Or even 2013? They are all still fully supported.

Office 2019, the pay-once office version, is not the same as 365. There are differences. For example, there is no speech-to-text option in 2019 but there is in 365. Also, there is no fully dark mode in outlook 2019, but there is in Outlook 365.

    In features. They are outdated.

Office 2019 is also different from Office 365. I have both and support both versions at work.

365's much better than the perpetual version. you get all the future/feature updates with 365. that's not the case with the perpetual license. you only get updates for that version. lame.

Correct. You only get security fixes with the perpetual license.

Except the perpetual version works 100% of the time, offline, forever.
