    They should design Macbooks with camera covers on default.

    Exactly, that's why I'm planning to buy a Lenovo laptop, they do offer this.

    My ancient 2009 Asus eeePC had a nice built in slider cover. Very handy. Haven't seen it elsewhere.

    Yes, I've used universal covers like this, but they will probably be too thick for MacBooks as well. If Apple made one themselves specific for Macbook, they could solve that problem and the covering up of the ambient light sensor.

    Seems like it really is quite a good idea to get yourself a laptop or desktop with webcam privacy shutter, and it should also be implemented on smartphones. Because even the "good guys" may spy on you. :p
