    @bellgamin ,

    I am running the latest released beta Dan has posted (5.92) and will test the new one as soon it gets released with the fixes you mentioned.

    For the most part, the betas have been pretty stable here too. But this new one you've installed kind of sounds like an Alpha / unfinished (read as you quoted, "Very Early") beta.

    This 5.95 beta is no alpha. It's rock steady & speedy. VS's betas sometimes have a few bugs or cosmetic issues that need fixing but I have never ever heard of a single one of the betas crashing or causing a BSOD. No, not one.

    I am really looking forward to 6.0!
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    By the way, it's fairly easy to spot bugs & their causes.
    1- Go to C:\ProgramData\VoodooShield
    2- In that folder, locate file DeveloperLog.log and send it to notepad or your word processor. (It's in regular text -- much easier to read in a word processor but still quite legible in notepad. VS's errors are clearly identified as such.)
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    I recently noticed that VS has some sort of a firewall capability. The option to turn that capability on is located at Settings > WhitelistCloud.

    On the WhitelistCloud options page, the firewall option is located just above the blue bar that crosses the page. The option is: "Create Firewall Rules for Not Safe Items." That option includes a drop-down menu for choosing whether rules will apply to Inbound connections, or Outbound connections, or Both.

    VS has a Wizard that walks you through the rule setting process. That Wizard is only triggered when VS alerts you to an unsafe process.

    I have not yet activated the firewall option because I am still in a learning mode relative to that feature. If anyone here can further elaborate on VS's firewall option, I would VERY much appreciate it.

    No idea. You would have to ask Dan if he made the changes outlined in your earlier post.

    Oh, I understand. If somebody else provides a beta llink that you didn't link, it must be an alpha. Sorry, I didn't know this was a contest. I leave the arena to you.

    It's a newer version as the Hash file has changed so it's best to install the newest 5.95 Beta that @Krusty posted.

    Hey guys, here is the latest.

    I think you will love this new feature (it was the one I thought of while reading your discussion)… there is now a button in the Web Apps tab that is basically… “Show all Apps that connect to the internet” / “Show only common Web Apps”

    If you are running a NON-beta version of VS and also have Windows Firewall disabled, you may have problems activating the Pro version of VS. If so, you might be able to activate your license by either of the following actions:

    1- Enable Windows Firewall then try again to activate your license.
    OR
    2- Install the current beta version linked by Krusty in comment #18319 above. The activation process in that beta version is unaffected by the status of the Windows Firewall.

    If neither of those works, then you should contact developer Dan, as suggested by Krusty in comment #18322 above.
