I can't change my security level. When i click on the three options and let go on the one i want, i see no indication that anything happened.

that's how it works. check advanced security settings (scan scope, etc.) to see the difference once you change your security level.

Thanks i found it, but for me it was to click on the Gear Icon, then click on Scan. If i click on scan after launching the GUI i will not find it. Only if i click on the Gear Icon and then on scan. That seems like a strange place to put the security level setting.

I upgraded my KSC Free to the 2021 version and all seemed fine till Sunday, after booting my laptop and Kaspersky doing its definitions update i suddenly started seeing high CPU usage due to KSC,i tried rebooting a few times and it didnt resolve the issue. As the CPU was spiking up to 90% i has to uninstall the program which led to further problems (thats another story !!).

Anyone else seeing high CPU usage ?,i have read two reports on the Kaspersky forum and reinstall was recommended but didnt seem to cure the problem.

I am very wary to reinstall the program to find im still having issues and have problems removing it again.

I had the same problem with version 2021. After a clean install (uninstalling it from Control Panel, then running their kavremover.exe tool and finally deleting all leftovers manually) and reinstalling it (also importing my previous settings) it feels a lot better.

I did not have problems with high CPU but I had problems using my certificate for authentication. It would somehow block it and I had to exit KIS to be able to use it. I will probably revert to 2020 after I stop testing EIS.

I did it slightly different to you, after uninstalling it i rebooted intending to run kavremover but my laptop booted to a black screen with a only the cursor showing, took me a couple of hours to fix that so im a bit reluctant to reinstall it in case i get the same problems again.

Maybe i should have run kavremover before i rebooted.

Anyone knows how to stop the annoying popups/nags from KAV telling me to install the browser extensions for Chrome/Firefox?

    Hi,

    I have installed KTS.

    I installed Postbox email client.

whenever this email client is downloading images, it is asking for each image to download or not ?

I am tired with KTS notification, is there any option. We can put permission for it.

I already added Postbox email client in safe list too.

But still getting a lot of notification for image downloading and security certificate permission.

    Thanks

For certificate warnings, you can try in Application Control rules of the application -> Exclusions, as an example:

I don't have Patch C yet. It might be rolled out over a week or so. I don't have KIS but have KS Cloud Paid, which has the same version with the B Patch.

First FP I got from KIS after updating Tor Browser. I re-submitted it for analysis.
