    Thanks for your feedback. But you see, this is the problem; a list someone else recommends is not recommended by another, so this makes what to use very confusing. I'm no expert at all on these lists, so I kind of count on recommendations by others whose opinion I value. Interesting that I had the frogeye list enabled before, but I disabled it quite some time ago. I've re-enabled it and disabled the Notracking list. I don't use uMatrix but I complement uBlockO with privacy badger. An attached screenshot of my modified filter lists:

    Interesting list
    uBlock - Filter - Experimental, if I remember correctly, has been deprecated.

    The lists adopted are dependent on many factors.
    I use New Moon 28, fork of Pale Moon, in a Windows XP OS.
    So my needs are different from other members of W.

    Yeah, I had forgotten to think about the Experimental one.
    I see 4 of them are now included in uBlock filters – Privacy:
    Code:
    ! Redirect to neutered Google Analytics
    ||google-analytics.com/analytics.js$script,redirect=google-analytics.com/analytics.js

    ! https://www.reddit.com/r/ublock/comments/47o2ih/ublock_disabling_all_javascript_links/d0fhock
    ! Time to bring this filter out of experimental status
    ||googletagservices.com/tag/js/gpt.js$script,redirect=googletagservices.com/gpt.js

    ! https://github.com/gorhill/uBlock/issues/1265
    ||scorecardresearch.com/beacon.js$script,redirect=scorecardresearch.com/beacon.js

    ! https://github.com/uBlockOrigin/uAssets/issues/7
    ||google-analytics.com/ga.js$script,redirect=google-analytics.com/ga.js
    I will remove the Experimental one.

    Thanks! :)

    PS,
    I also have New Moon 28 on Windows XP in a virtual machine.

    uMatrix is very powerful, but, just like NoScript, can be rather daunting to configure properly.

    Thanks, I am trying 1 Hosts (mini) (for uBlock Origin, AdGuardHome) but am curious which URL you are using?

    If I load https://badmojr.github.io/1Hosts/mini/adblock.txt I get 38,761 entries but I see you have 57,215 (later post).
    Am I using the incorrect URL?

    OK - now I have 57,194+.

    Thanks, didn't even know about Filterlists.com, and subscribing ...
    Maybe a dumb question, but is their a search facility there?

    Edit: Can you also explain / expand a little on the Firehol blocklist-ipsets and how to add that?

    If you want to view all the lists for Ublock Origin with content, for example, Phishing you must first select the software, then choose the TAGS you are interested in, as in the images below:

    Thanks Sampei, I have got it all now :) ... will you expand / give a little info on the Firehol blocklists?

    Dynamically generated malware blocklists?

    Edit: I see you already explained in post #4503

    The refresh rate for F.2 is interesting.
    It is probably redundant for your OS, antivirus, modern browsers.
    But in my XP, with a browser without Google Safe Browsing, no antivirus, no smartscreen filter ..........

    True.
    Win 10 still v1909, FF 77.0.1, Emsisoft AM here. But I have added F2 for now ...

    Edit: Essentially the same lists as you now, with the addition of 'I don't care about cookies' :)

    Frogeye list is not necessary with Firefox:

    https://www.ghacks.net/2019/11/20/ublock-origin-for-firefox-addresses-new-first-party-tracking-method/

    I use Noscript with non-default settings, but you may need the list

    AdGuard Annoyance

    Take this test:

    https://msfn.org/board/forum/34-windows-xp/

    Do you see the MSFN donation notice ........?

    I have already expressed my opinion on phishing lists and the adoption of DNS that efficiently filter phishing.
    This evaluation is up to the individual user.

    Relevant entries from uBO Advanced Settings ...
    cnameIgnoreList unset
    cnameIgnore1stParty true
    * cnameIgnoreExceptions true
    * cnameIgnoreRootDocument true
    cnameMaxTTL 120
    * cnameReplayFullURL false
    * cnameUncloak true
    * cnameUncloakProxied false

    cnameAliasList parameter now no longer listed in the Advanced Settings (as per that article) but * settings above have subsequently been added ... would cname still be taken care of in FF 77.0.1 with latest uBO (without Frogeye list)?

    I do have AdGuard Annoyance filter already, and I see the attached ...

    On adblockers like uBlock Origin use the Adblockplus version of 1host (mini) instead of the host version. The host version requires to include all the domains and subdomains that's why the size of the list is bigger with 57k hosts while the Adblock Plus version don't require to put any subdomains. One single rule blocks the domain including all the subdomains that's why it's much smaller with 37K rules. On adblockers and something like Adguard Home it's better to use the Adblock Plus version of any host filter to reduce the number of rules and memory footprint.
